I have never encountered such a place with mediocre attention and ignorance on the menu and plate items, i went with my family to enjoy traditional exotic peruvian food but instead we encountered terrible and lack of friendly attention from the server and the supposed owner that could not stop looking at his phone and bill invoices. It is funny that this restaurant barley opened and the hospitality from the owners was non existing, it was such lack luster experience and also the food itself was not good at all. The time in preparing the food was so long which could have been faster if the husband who i believe is the gentleman that was looking at his invoice non stop, could have given his wife a hand in getting the food prepared and completed in a fast time, my family and i waited for almost 1hr and 30min, they brought out a plate called “papa utaqua” i may be mis pronouncing this exotic plate, but it was a train wreck, the flavor was like eating raw potatoes covered in a sauce that was good but the potatoes were not. Overall very disappointed experience, had to leave because our food was not even being made with the 1hr and 30min mark; if i could give zero stars i would give them this. To all going there please be ready to eat cold food and and...
Read moreYesterday I stopped by The Best Ceviche to grab some of my favorite Peruvian plates on the way home from the Valley .
I got 1 tallarin Verde Bistek (green spaghetti with steak) 1 chaufa de Pollo ( chicken fried rice Peruvian style) 2 Inka colas ( Peruvian soda ) 2 bolillos ( soft warm bread)
Over $50 . The serving sizes weren't worth over $15 each plus they used hot dogs to fill the chaufa. And it took 1 hour to get my food to go 🤦🏽♀️ two tables came in after me and got their stuff and even one was able to finish eating and leave before me. Crazy . Customer service wasn't the best, and the unorganization you'd think they just opened but nope, it's been a year 😭
PROS: besides the small portion, high cost and hot dog fillers, the chaufa taste was Great! The chicken didn't have flavor. The green sauce was spicy 🤤 and delicious . The tallarin was good but the meat had no flavor .
CONS: long wait times, " you can't get any plate in under 30mins " according to the manager ( because I complained about waiting over an hour) No soups as appetizers and you have to ask for the bread or else they won't...
Read moreThe food was phenomenal! I'm going to be honest and embarrassed to say it was not my first choice to go here to dine with my family but my husband urged me to give it a chance because he was craving Peruvian food. Well, I'm glad I did because hunny the food was well worth it. We got the rice dish with shrimp and calamari-we asked for mild spicy but next time will ask for hot to get that spice. My husband got the fried calamari with shrimp, fish, plantain chips, and yucca fries. Lord knows I've never liked yucca ESPECIALLY in the form of fries but this right here.... was to my surprise the best thing I had. My daughter got the fries and sausage which I wouldn't get again just because that's something I can easily put together at home and was looking for more of a dish-like meal. I ordered the steak and fries and they did not let me down!!! Overall great experience and will be...
