Community Warning: Disheartening and Unsafe Experience at Coaches in Lancaster, CA

It saddens me to write this, but I feel compelled to share the extremely disappointing and hostile experience my party and I had at Coaches on Friday, May 9, 2025, around 7 PM. I sincerely hope that the owner, Doug Dolan, takes this feedback seriously and addresses the conduct of his staff. My husband and I met another couple at Coaches to enjoy dinner and the Dodgers game. We were seated and served by a waitress who informed us she was new. We ordered four meals, four waters, one iced tea, and an appetizer of onion rings. We politely asked if the bill could be split between the two parties, and she confirmed that it would be. Approximately one hour into our visit, our waitress had disappeared, and we had to flag down passing staff for assistance. Two hours in, we were ready to leave and still had not received our check. We found our waitress bartending and requested the bill. Eventually, another server brought it—unsplit. We returned to the bar to ask that the bill be separated as originally requested. At this point, the staff, particularly the manager Armando (who was also bartending), became visibly irritated. Armando came to our table and slammed down six separate checks, each with individual meals and sides separated, clearly done out of spite. He then returned to the bar, where he laughed and mocked us in full view of other patrons. We approached him again to express our concerns and asked for the bill to be corrected. He refused to engage, and another server ultimately assisted us. To our surprise, a security guard then approached us. We calmly explained the situation and requested to speak with a manager. Armando returned, got very close to us, and declared that he was the manager and that we were no longer welcome at the establishment. When I mentioned that I intended to reach out to the owner, he openly stated that he did not care. It is truly unfortunate when a local business, especially one many of us grew up frequenting, allows such unprofessional and aggressive behavior to occur—particularly in front of families and children. While there were visible signs of increased security and nearby encampments, the real concern that evening was the behavior of intoxicated and confrontational staff members.

To the owner: Please understand that your employees are negatively impacting your reputation. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone, and if possible, would...

If I could put no stars I would They gave me chicken wings that were barely cooked with a bunch of sauce on them. I never received any drinks for my orders. they sent the orders back to the kitchen 3 times because the cook continued to mess up the amount of wings and flavors. After the 3rd try an employee noticed it still was wrong, the lemon pepper mild had no mild sauce on them. The cook yelled out he’ll just put some sauce on the side in the bag … he still didn’t put any sauce on the side in the bag . I’m also currently 6 months pregnant and I had to wait an extra 20 minutes in the store. It didn’t bother me initially because I love their food so I did not mind the wait but to wait that long and spend $70 and receive poor service is unacceptable. It’s unfortunate to leave such a bad review because I truly love them i started going to them regularly most importantly for their wings but after today I don’t know how to feel about them. they need new employees. I’ve never seen this cook before so maybe that could be the reason why he was a young African American Man & very unprofessional. I believe the cook was intoxicated he messed up constantly and also asked an employee does he need anything from the liquor store in our face … very unprofessional. The chicken wings were disgusting which is sad because coachs usually had the best wings in town. I had nothing but good experiences from them until today My pick up order was 4 combos in total I had two, 8 piece combos spicy lemon pepper. one 8 piece combo Mild lemon pepper. and one 6 piece combo lemon pepper only . ALL extra crispy. ( ALL combos comes with fries...

This is my honest assessment of this place. I recently went here and I was treated quite well by the staff. They were very friendly and quite professional. In addition, it was very clean and well set up. On the other hand, I decided to order the king's Burger well done and when it was served to me it was dripping so heavily with grease that the bun was literally disintegrating. Frankly, how hard is it to drain the cooking grease off of a burger patty before you assemble it into a sandwich? In addition, when I went there I had arranged to stay for the whole evening and to my chagrin I discovered that they close at 10:00 p.m. during the week and 12:00 a.m. on the weekends. By my definition, it is difficult to call yourself a bar if you don't keep bar hours. In fact, they should really redefine themselves as a restaurant. In conclusion, for the pre mentioned detractors alone I am rating this place three stars. I have absolutely no complaints about the serving staff but, the kitchen staff could definitely use some training. In addition, they either need to redefine themselves as a restaurant or keep legitimate bar hours. Still, I would probably come here to watch...

By far the worst experience ever! It took well over 10 minutes for our first order to be taken. The first round of drinks came in wrong. I never order strawberry margaritas and they didn’t fix that. I was still charged for it. Then the computers went down and the security guard stood at the door holding people hostage. I Have NEVER IN MY LIFE been held hostage at a restaurant. I’m pretty sure it’s criminal to kidnap people. I began to feel claustrophobic , so when the waitress said we were “lucky” the computers came back up I handed over my debit card to pay even though I was overcharged and did not realize it. I warned my friends TO NEVER 👎🏻 NVITE ME TO this place that holds it’s customers like prisoners! It’s actually very traumatic. I will be seeking legal advice! I was willing to pay but not to hand over my debit card so they”can take a picture” to charge me later. Also, I understand the security guard was doing his job, but is it legal? I need advise!
