REVISION 01/08/2019: For a fairly nice store; there is nothing worse than a Panhandler badgering for money Indide this store, which was my unfortunate experience today. The Vagrant ruined my shopping experience.
Dec. 23rd 2018: Reference- "WARNING"* - (Noted Below). I wanted more than anything to give the store a 5-star rating, for the nice clean Pleasant shopping experience and atmosphere. It was a major upgrade to install a Starbucks in the store.
I am unable to give this anything higher than a 2-star rating, and if I could I'd give it a -10 due to this reason: *WARNING- my son and I went shopping at this store last night, Friday December 21st 2018. Early this morning Saturday December 22nd 2018, both my son and myself had our debit cards hacked. My son used his debit card at the ATM and I used mine at the checkout. Obviously Target has not taken their online Internet hacking of years ago seriously. This is a major problem and I will not ever shop at the store without using anything but cash. My father along with millions of customers had this very same problem not that long ago.
The women's apparel still has a decent selection. The men's apparel however has a lot to be desired. The quantity of men's clothing brands has greatly diminished, to a point I'm not even sure why they're selling men's clothes here. There's hardly anything to choose from. This Target used to be where I predominantly shopped for my clothing. Now the store has nothing which I have bought over years past, such as Union Bay jeans.
Target at one time set itself apart from the other retail chain stores, with a wide versatile selection of almost anything you were looking for. In 1981 while riding my motorcycle through a snowstorm in Colorado, I pulled over at the Target in Colorado Springs and found electric / battery powered wool socks. Those socks saved my life and enabled me to continue on my journey. Today Target has little to nothing in Sporting Goods and camping equipment and gear. A sad indictment of the times, as this store is trying too hard to be a grocery store / drugstore. The prices for electronics is ridiculously high and overpriced. There is little the store can offer that one cannot find cheaper at a different store.
The one thing this store offers which excels above the others, is the stores ambience and the very...
Read moreI go to this target all the time. It's closer to my house than the palmdale one. Let me tell you about how big of a difference management wise lancaster is vs palmdale. I bought a dyson stick vaccum and had it for 3 weeks. I hated it so I went to the lancaster target to return it. I called before to make sure I could return with my receipt and she told me I could. Once I got there she asked for me to go to the back to get the exact one since I didn't have a box. I go back find one i go back to the front and she tells me they can only exchange and take the one I'm returning and put it in the box of the one I'm buying. So I asked for the Manger and she tells me at her store she has to have a box or it' has to go in the trash. I find that hard to believe. I've seen open box items for sale in targets before. So I go ahead and leave and go to the palmdale target. Let me tell you about the management. 100 times better. I was there for 1 hour trying to return this vaccum. They spent a whole hour getting this vaccum returned for me. 4 different workers and 1 guy from target customer service. They were trying their hardest to get this vaccum returned. And they finally did!. I appreciated that they actually helped and cared for me to get this returned.! So if you have anything to return to target that is expensive make sure you keep the box or go to the palmdale target you'll be glad you did! One more reason for actually writing this review. I was in there lastnight and when I walked out I heard ( have a great night ) and I said you too. I turned around and it was the manager same manager that told me I needed the box. And I said oh you wasn't talking to us and she said no I was talking to my team I'm leaving for the night. She could have said you have a good night as well but I was talking to my team. I just thought that was really rude. But maybe that's the small town person...
Read moreI literally waited 3-4 minutes for the pharmacy tech to greet me, as I stood at the counter. She didn't say anything, so I stated that I was coming in for a pick up. Then as she's looking up my information this Hispanic Male came out she whispered something to him and then he began to tell me he couldn't fulfill my prescription without my insurance card. I advised my employer does not provide cards for dental insurance and he said if I got the name he could look it up. Literally I'm that moment I call home attempting to obtain the name and then 3 mins before 6 pm he says they cannot assist me anymore. I asked why, he tells me it will take to long to look it up and asked me to call my doctor to send it somewhere else. I was furious in his level of unprofessionalism and lack of service to then tell me good luck with finding that prescription in this whole antelope valley. Mind you, this is a CVS location inside of target with a CVS across the street. He made no effort in offering to try that location if they were planning on closing early. So, I go across the street to CVS who literally looked my insurance information up in less than a minute and gladly fulfilled my order. Target NEVER again! I left furious at that lack of willingness to assist me as a customer. I just so happen to walk out the same time as he was just in a rush to go to the bank of america. If your hours are until 6 pm you should expect to service customers that are there prior to close to recieve service...
