I came to Passenger today for the pop-up they were doing with Elsewhere bread. I love Elsewhere bread, and that is what brought me to the Passenger location on Plum street. There was a long line, but it moved fast. I was also excited to try something new at a drink place I had never been to. I opted for a Chamomile tea. The lady asked if I would like her to steep it (this would take 5 minutes), or just a tea bag. I opted for just a tea bag. I continued to watch for 20 minutes as she, and another gentleman proceeded to make orders after mine. She even asked two girls who ordered after me, “what did you get again?” Then, she finally came to me and asked what I had ordered. It literally took her 5 seconds to put the tea in a bag and fill the cup up with hot water. I get it gets busy, and orders may be forgotten. But, to wait 20 mins for a simple tea, and see 10 to 15 people who ordered after you get their drinks made right after they had ordered is just not right. All she said was “sorry about the wait.” I am not confrontational and didn’t want to say anything, so I just said it was okay. I will definitely be back for a pop-up in the future for Elsewhere bread, but I will NOT come back to Passenger because of this customer...
Read moreOne of my favorite places to go to for a coffee and even a snack. (I rarely indulge in pastries and café type snacks, but they are really good here. Everything is delicious!) They also have really amazing teas hot and iced. And the baristas are great! It’s very important to have a friendly and knowledgeable staff- and they are all amazing! My only complaint if I have to have one is that the seating is very small inside. I know it’s not optimal and I know there’s not a lot that can be done about it. But that being said, I would love to see a larger café environment… I usually get my coffee to go or if I want to relax there find a space available outside since instead seating is limited and usually taken. But DONT let that deter you from visiting! Oh! Side note: they also sell whole bean coffee and loose leaf tea and some merch so you can show your support and enjoy...
Read moreI just have to say. Wow! Jay is a wonderful employee! My husband and I we're traveling from Philadelphia and were looking for quick coffee spot before we traveled back to the event we were going to. We stopped right in front but then realized when we parked the shop was closing in a minute while he was bringing chairs in. Jay saw us park and gladly allowed us to come in. I normally don't review coffee but I believed he has made me by far the best coffee I've had in a while. Thankfully I have friends that live up here and I will most definitely coming back. Got to try the freshly made vegan cookie and the freshly made pop-tart! Delicioso!...
