This is based off takeout, so dining in may be a totally different experience. But the experience overall was just okay. It was busy inside, but the staff was still attentive and nice. The wings were okay at most but just nothing special. From what others have said in the area of these being the best wings, I did not experience this. The wings while hot, weren’t the juiciest. Alongside that, the wings were lacking in sauce. Maybe I need to ask for extra, but my wings were a little in that aspect. The flavor was more vinegar forward, which I was not a fan of. They were spicy as promised, which I did enjoy. The blue cheese was also very flavorful and pleasant. The fish and chips was the better part of the meal. For $16, you get 2 huge pieces of fish with a boatload of fries. It comes with standard ketchup, mushy peas which was very nice, and a tartar sauce that wasn’t too strong(paired well with fish/chips). However my biggest gripe was the fish was way too greasy. I get it is pub food, so it is to be expected, but my fish was coated and almost dripping in oil. But it was very hot and flavorful. Overall while I would try again to see how dining inside compares to takeout, the wings were not anything special and the fish was just too oily.

Prices aren't exactly competitive, but they do have decent deals on certain nights. Monday wing night! The wings are big. They're not pushing those scrawny wings. These are the ones who don't skip arm day. I ordered the parmesan and they have a hot honey for some other sandwich they put on my other 5. The accidently put cheese on the hot honey ones, and offered to remake them. I asked for a couple without the parmesan just to try them normally. They are strange with the cheese but honestly not bad. The hot honey ones were awesome. I like hot stuff but these were not super hot. Good heat but if you don't like Thai food with 3 or more stars it may be too hot for you. The garlic parmesan were perfect. They used grated parmesan with the minced garlic pieces. Not powdered ingredients. Real quality. The bar tender did a fantastic job. I asked for a couple extra wings so I could write this review, even though he didn't know it was for a review, he made me 3 wings and was very nice about the whole thing. He stopped and joked with us for a minute. We had a great time. My friend got the special which was some sort of steak Shepard pie. It did not disappoint. I highly recommend this place.

I love the English pub atmosphere and decor of this place. Beer selection is fantastic, as there is a great European selection that you don't find everywhere. I went with a Rodenbach Grand Cru while perusing the menu, and had difficulty choosing what I wanted because several descriptions looked appetizing. I chose two of Quips' staples...a 1/2 order of jumbo wings and the fish and chips. The wings have a nice crispiness, and although not the largest wings I've ever seen, they certainly aren't tiny either. The fish and chips come wrapped in newspaper and are a bit greasy, but have wonderful flavor. They come with three different dipping sauces, including one that is a thick concoction of mashed peas, that I assume is distinctly British. I washed all that down with an Old Speckled Hen on nitro that was extremely enjoyable and seemed appropriate with the fare. They don't have loud music here and the TV's are small. I love the fact that without those distractions, you're forced to socialize with the ones you're with. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for some good beer, comfort food, and a cozy atmosphere.
