We were blown away how beautiful Grace's restaurant is - luxurious and comfortable during our long lunch. White gauze curtains frame some of the booths. Terra Cotta soldier replicas offer interesting decorations. The restaurant length wine cases were impressive and exciting. One side of the restaurant had the Hibachi tables where they make the food in front of you. The bar is impressive with the couch seating and upscale atmosphere.
The food had so many flavors that each bite was a delight and culinary adventure. You get very high quality and good portions.
The chicken and corn and egg drop soup was the BEST I have ever had - so much white meat, corn, egg and with the won ton strips bowl that each person got was almost enough for lunch. I have never had a soup that had such a nice amount of those ingredients and it was not salty. Just delicious!
I got Lunch Box A which came with Grilled Salmon, Fried Chicken, California Roll, Grilled Chicken Salad.
The salmon had a Teriyaki sauce - very good. The fried chicken had a nice crunchy texture and cut into strips. The grilled chicken salad (no mayo) had nice grilled chicken over a generous mound of fresh cabbage and sauce. In the middle was rice. The California roll tasted nice and fresh.
The Red Velvet Cheesecake was soooo good. I didn't think Red Velvet could get any better, but I was wrong - so moist and creamy and the creamed cheese frosting - just the height of decadence and a happy mouth! The Japanese crepe cake with a strawberry drizzle was great if you would like something lighter. It had several thin layers of cake. Creme Brulé had a wonderful crisp, caramelized top.
Connie, our waitress, was so friendly, helpful, and took great care of us keeping our water glasses filled during our long lunch.
Jennifer, the manager, was gracious, caring, and gave good recommendations inspiring our dessert selections.
Thank you to Grace for creating such a beautiful restaurant with such delicious food and creating an environment conducive to meeting friends or family, a romantic date, a business meeting, or a...
Read moreThe food, service, and pricing was good for a company luncheon. My review is based on potential credit card fraud. On 8/21/2023 I called to make a reservation for 10 using my corporate credit card and was asked to make a $100 deposit. I provided the card information to a restaurant employee for the reservation and my card was charged $100. On 8/22/2023 my party and I arrived and received a bill, the $100 deposit was credited towards the total amount and I used the same card to pay the balance. On 8/23/2023, I began to see fraudulent charges made on my corporate card at Chipotle and 2 charges at Habit both located in Bowie Maryland. I use this card only for business and prior to making the reservation I had not used the card in over one month. After visiting Grace's my card was ironically fraudulently charged in the same area shortly after. Thankfully, I received timely notice from the credit card company and was able to freeze my card prior to more transaction being made. I tried to call the restaurant to report the issue but was told by the restaurant employee that there wasn't a manager available to speak with me because they were on vacation. I asked to speak with any supervisor on duty and was left on hold for 20 minutes. The person that answered my call sounded like the same restaurant employee that took my initial reservation and deposit over the phone. The credit card company said they will be a full investigation regarding the fraudulent charges however I wanted to share my experience to save another person from the hassle of dealing with and disputing unauthorized transactions. Beware of this restaurant if you are making reservation deposits...
Read moreWent to Grace’s on Boxing Day for sushi with a friend. We were advised to sit wherever we liked and opted for a booth. Every single booth had busted seats with fabric that seemed to be peeling off. So although the booth cushions were supposed to be a burgundy color, the actual seat had various black splotches from missing fabric. The fact that they don’t even bother to reupholster the seats speaks volumes. This is wear I should have turned around and walked out the door, but against my better judgement I sat down.
The waitress was pleasant and swiftly brought water/menus to the table. I noticed that my glass was dirty so I let her know and she changed it out for me. Strike # 2. If the glasses are dirty what else going uncleaned.
Both my friend and I ordered California and crab rolls which didn’t take much time to prepare. When the food was placed on the table I smelled a strange vinegar-like smell and was immediately turned off. This is not a common smell for any sushi rolls I’ve ever had in life. I also noticed the color of the avocado was very dull and turning brown. At this point I’m convinced they’re just serving old food. I left the food behind and will never...
