Amarilis Cafe — Restaurant in Lansdale

I'm only giving a 1 🌟 because my sister and I was at your restaurant ( yesterday 5/18/19) and I ordered a large platter with rice and beans, pork, n sweet banana, and I also got a small container of oxtail. My sister got a small chicken platter with rice and beans, n sweet banana. We both got two bottles of juice and the woman at register whom I've never seen there before charged me $40.00 for all that..she didn't even ring my order up..she just said 40.00 and never gave me my receipt or change..my sister and I sat there and ate our lunch and discussed what happened..my sister told me let it go because it's obvious she needed the money more than I..it really bothered though.. Because 1thing you don't want to do is Rob your customers..tha t is bad business!!!.. other than that I really enjoy your food..it's delicious!!! I have no complains about that..but I don't think I'll ever order from you guys again..so you guys will loose customers if you think you can get over on them like you did to...

One of my favorite places to get authentic Dominican food. I used to go to a place called the Dominican cafe in Wilmington and this place reminds me of there except cleaner. My go to is the roasted pork over rice and beans. The portions are large and the price is ok. One of the few places where you can get authentic ethnic food in Lansdale. Editing my review because of deceptive practices. When you pay with your card, the price doesn't match what is quoted. I noticed that she quickly added a tip on without asking. I don't mind tipping, but to presumptuously add it without any posted signage or notice is not cool. This is the second time I noticed it, so it must be a regular thing they do. Make sure you pay with cash if you want the price you pay to match the quoted price. Also, I'm not sure how long they use the same food. Ok so I was in the area because I was trying to find a good Dominican place to eat I usually go to cuchifritos in Allentown which is phenomenal... an I did a search an this place came up so I figured I'd give it a go.. so as soon as I pulled up I had to pay for parking. Not a big deal. I go inside the lady in the front didn't look thrilled that I was there. I ordered rice, beef and chicken. Two drinks total came out to 21.78 and I don't care how much it costs as long as the food is good.. so I open up the tray and everything in the tray was so dry like my daughter wouldn't even eat it..
