This past week I experienced one of the worst days of my life. Iām going to tell you about it in detail because you should know how my day played out and how your employee made a difference in my world⦠I stopped in at this Biggby location because, after crying for about an hour on the phone with my husband, and needing to return to work⦠My husband told me that I absolutely had to get something to eat/drink, in order to take some medicine that I needed to help me get through the rest of my day. When I entered the building, I was warmly greeted by an employee named Amy. Amy greeted me and said āhowās your day going?ā To which, I started crying because my day was not going well. I was on the edge of having a full on mental health break...A time at which my mind would have to be completely put on pause to the world for a bit⦠I Started crying and couldnāt get words out. She said āoh no! Iām so sorry! Is there anything I can do for you?ā As she handed me a Kleenex/napkin (canāt fully recall which). I shook my head no. She said Can I get something for you? I managed to get out the words āI donāt know ā. I simply knew that my husband told me to go get food and drink. Amy took her time with me and did not make me feel rushed. She saw me when I was at my worst. She saw me when it turned out that I was on a horrible detox from an antidepressant that I had been weaned off very quickly. Amy helped me from the moment I walked in and reassured me that it was going to be OK. She took her time and asked what kind of drinks I like. When I couldnāt get the words out because I was crying so hard, she started asking me do you like Lavender? Do you like caramel? Do you like hot or cold etc. Together we put an order together with my head nod responses to her questions. Amy even picked out what I would eat because I needed someone to do that for me that day. After taking care of people in the medical field my entire life, I simply needed a human to take care of me in that moment. As silly as it sounds or may sound to others, Amy truly helped me that day. Once the food and drink were ready I heard āyour order is all setā. She then said āI hope your day starts going much betterā. She had a smile on her face and she touched my heart, but my emotions didnāt allow me to speak. I simply cried, nodded my head and left the store.
I then went to an urgent appointment with my doctor the next morning because I was not OK. I needed help going through this medication transition⦠Iām a few days out from that now and Iām thinking a bit more clearly and Iām not crying constantly. Yesterday, I stopped back into that same Biggby and asked if they could help me figure out which employee I was talking about. They showed me pictures and I was able to say yes thatās her! Biggby, you may not know it, but you have one of the best people working for you. She touched my heart and helped me that day. I did return to work and I ate the food and drank the drink that she made me, which by the way is now my favorite and is sugar-free, just like Iād asked for it to be when I nodded my head in response to her. She helped me when no one else knew what to do for me that day. Mental health is really a big deal in our country and in the world. Even for those who are incredibly high functioning and seem to be untouchable. The high functioning person that I was used to being was forced to pause and take some time off from work, let my new medicine work and truly get the help that I need with close family and friends around me. I just want you to know that Amy is someone I consider to be in the tribe that is helping me get back on track, and I want to say thank you and let you know that you know that you have an incredible person representing your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTheyāve made my drinks wrong more often than right. When I first got a drink there I told them I canāt have sugar. I stressed this multiple times even going over every ingredient with them and asking for sugar free syrup. They then proceed to make my frozen drink, without telling me it was in it, with a powder that thickens the drink that contains 80+ grams of sugar. They said theyād take care of it with free drinks. They even had a sheet on the wall for it. Except when I had one drink left and went in there for it they told me their manager told them to throw the sheet away because I āhad to use my drinks by a certain timeā and didnāt think it would be a good idea to tell me that.
Asked for the manager and they said even they couldnāt get ahold of the manager.
Donāt recommend this place. My fiancee and her family go all the time. Even they know to stay away...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI normally really enjoy this BIGGBY and the regular baristas usually make my drinks perfectly and put a smile on my face! I always call in for a pick up order when driving to work. This morning I went to call as usual, someone answered and told me I could not order over the phone I could only DoorDash. I told her I call in almost twice a week and regularly order pick up. I try to avoid DoorDash fees and Iām driving so itās most convenient to call. She then said, āyeahh Iām umm.. just really busy right now⦠and canāt do that so youāll have to DoorDash or order pick up. byeā I normally donāt complain & I understand coffee gets busy, but I was a little shocked at how rude she was.. just a little bummed out with the service from this person...
