Love -Hate...This was my first trip to Boston's and will likely be my last. The service was good. We went mid-day on a Thursday thus it wasn't busy so food and service was quite snappy. I had one of the best Alfredo dishes I've ever had at a restaurant. I ordered the Spicy Chicken & Broccoli Penne Alfredo which features a creamy Cajun Alfredo sauce, roasted garlic sun dried tomatoes and Parmesan cheese. It was a real delight. I will say that I am a Pescatarian and don't eat chicken so I subbed for shrimp. The only thing that keeps me from giving five stars (and coming back) is the policy that this restaurant has with substitutions. I go to many restaurants and often time I substitute beef or chicken for shrimp or fish. Most places when you substitute either will swap at no charge or a slight fee. However at Boston's they charged me for a full order as if I had requested shrimp to be added to my Chicken Alfredo. The problem here is, I'm not eating any chicken...so why am I being charged for that and why should anyone else be charged for that in the future? In Boston's defense they did give me a partial refund when I asked about it, which was nice. However, I do not expect them to do this every time I go into their establishment. I may try the Create Your Own Pasta one day, but it's nearly the same amount of money as what I ordered and you get less ingredients which doesn't leave me with much desire to return. Change your policy Boston's and you will have...
Read moreNormally we have great experiences. We decided to go to Boston's today to celebrate a birthday. Party of 8. The restraunt was not very busy at all for a Sunday afternoon. First and second issue were time. My mother ordered a decaf coffee, the waitress stated it would be 8 min for a fresh pot to brew. 20 min later still didn't have it. I had to flag someone down to grab it. My sister and grandma ordered a pizza flight for apps during the time my mom ordered her decaf. 35 min later the apps and coffee came out, 2 min later entrees. Food was cold, bacon that came on sandwiches were serverly undercooked. To use my sisters words "the bacon was looser than a prostitutes yahoo" 😂 The pulled pork sandwiches came with coleslaw on them. The sandwiches were good BUT the bread was soggy and cold from the juice of the overly dressed slaw. All of our fries were cold. Our waitress was not that attentive, we had to flag her and the manager down multiple times to either fix items and ask for eta's on food. Then we were swatting knats and flies like we were in the jungle. (Super irritating and gross) We had to eat with our napkins over our plates!! To fix the problem, the manager came by and addressed our concerns. He ended up replacing 2 sandwiches and one plate of fries. Took off $5 bucks and laughed with us about the situation. We were satisfied in the end. We...
Read moreI am so horrified at this experience that I can't believe it is true. My husband and I have eaten here many times and have been happy with the food and service and would previously have recommended it. However, that is no longer true. If you have a handicap, this is not the place for you. Last Friday, my parents went to a movie with my aunt who is visiting from out of state. They headed to Boston's afterwards. (My Mom has survived Stage 4 cancer and is still on chemo and doesn't go out that much. She walks with a cane.) People were seated in the dining area and my family asked to be seated there. They were told they were no longer seating people in that area even though people were still dining there. The bar area only has high top tables with barstools and elevated booths. My Dad explained that there was no way my Mom could climb up to sit there and that they needed to sit at a table. The two hostesses told them absolutely not. My aunt thought they were joking and was in disbelief when they all found out that the hostesses were serious. My family left the restaurant and had to go somewhere else. UNBELIEVABLE! I am also pretty sure it is illegal. As a business owner and a humane person I would go out of my way to accommodate someone like this and I certainly wouldn't turn a handicap...
