Review for Spad’s Twisters – Mother’s Day Visit
Today, on Mother’s Day, my sons and I went to Spad’s Twisters for ice cream after dinner. We visited the drive-thru between 6:00 and 6:20 p.m. There was a line, but we were looking forward to a treat.
We ordered:
Two Trashcan Sundaes – $5.94
One Brownie Fantasy – $5.71
One Large Float – $5.05 Subtotal: $16.70 Estimated Michigan sales tax (6%): $1.00 Expected total: $17.70
When I placed the order, the employee told me the total was $17.70. But when I got to the window and handed over $20, I was told the total was $23 and some change. Thinking I misheard, I paid $25 and got my change.
Later, it kept bothering me. I had taken a photo of the menu, so I reviewed the prices and confirmed the total should have been $17.70. I was overcharged.

Read moreMy family and I always love to treat ourselves. This is by far the #1 go to spot for icecream. I prefer the superbowl dessert when I'm there. This is just what a hard working mother needs and deserves. It has all thr fixings a cherry, whip cream, brownies, strawberries & syrup, bananas and vanilla icecream. So delicious and a nice size. Their serving sizes are are large enough and well prized. If you think you need a large you might want to try a medium size. I love ice-cream enough that I simply just have to have the larger size no matter what. Sorry no photos of mine it usually is gone in a blink of an eye. Service is really fast there. You may see maybe 5 cars waiting but they are...
Read moreGood ice cream but the service could be better stood outside waiting to place my order for over 10 minutes employee came to the window multiple times but didn't even acknowledge I was there. They have a order window and a pick up window but only were using the one window so I couldn't even place my order until she had finished filling the other orders, I can understand them being busy but that's when you at least acknowledge the customer and let them know you will be with them soon don't just ignore them all together. Eventually I got tired of waiting and left disappointed guess I just have to drive a little further and stick to the Cedar St location I've never had an...
