I received a coupon in the mail in one of those “Valpak” things we all get and decided we’d try it. Man, were we glad we did. We almost didn’t because of some of the reviews until I noticed a clear similarity in the negative ones: they all mentioned “A Burger and Wing” place apparently down the street (we just moved here last year). It looked really fishy how they all sounded the same. Then they were complaining about prices and we laughed bc it’s $13.99 for 10 freaking wings AND fries. Anyone reading this who likes wings knows how cheap that is. That’s the normal price for 6 wings at most restaurants. We both had gastric bypass surgery years ago so we shared a 10pc and fries (if you’re getting takeout like us, skip the drinks obvs) and dessert and it was less than $20 out the door for a really good meal. Are they the BEST wings I have ever had? No, but only one or two places have that distinction and they damn sure aren’t $14 for 10 lol. But they’re wayyyy above average and the fries are VERY good and seasoned perfectly. If I were the manager/owner of this place, I’d be proud of my product and pretty sickened that it’s fairly obvious this other place is posting things to discourage patrons imo. Don’t take my word for it-read the bad reviews yourself with the lens I provided and look at the timeline they are. Just saying-we had a great meal and I think ppl should at least try it like we did. We have been back twice since the first time 2 weeks ago and liked everything we...
Read moreYou would think that for as long as it took for Charley's to open, it would look brand new on the inside. They pretty much moved into Wendy's, changed the name and the color of the building. The inside looks exactly the same, down to the dirty floors and the burnt/ greasy wall behind the grill.
To the food and service. I ordered online and my food was supposed to be ready in 15 minutes. It was more like 30 minutes. The boneless chicken was dry and the teriyaki sweet sauce was not good at all. I tried to eat 2 of the 16 - 20 pieces I ordered and gave up. The fries were undercooked, soggy, and they just slapped what tasted like can cheese on top.
The staff was pretty friendly but the service was very slow. I cheated on A Burger and Wing down the street to give this place a try but they don't have to worry about me coming back. I was very...
Read moreWell I tried it. I live nearby, I really wanted to like this place.. but I just didn’t. The sandwich was okay, the fries maybe a half step better than okay. To top it off.. it’s expensive. Or total was $28 for two people. A Burger N Wings is just up the road and sells Philly cheesesteaks. They’re better than at Charley’s, cheaper too. They are different. Charley’s is “fresher.” It has lettuce and tomatoes on it.. the only problem is the lettuce and tomatoes didn’t taste very fresh. A Burger N Wings has the classic American cheese in theirs. Charley’s does have paper packaging, so I guess there’s some environmental points in...
