Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Lansing

Went it to grab a late dinner today. Commented as we were pulling in that the lot was empty. Things had really changed since they opened. Went inside to see 3 couples eating and 7 employees working. The place didn't have a single clean table, the floors were gross and the counter top where orders were called up was covered in grease. It was clear that the area around the fry sauces had not been cleaned in some time. We said something to one employee about there not being a clean table anywhere and she got a dirty wet cloth and wiped off three tables. Leaving them wet and greasy still. Food came out and the hotdog was cold in the middle. This is when I asked to speak with Erik the Manager. He did come out and listen to me as I pointed out the issues and watched me throw away the food. IF anyone is wondering why sales are down maybe an OWNER should try stopping in and checking up on their investment. Went to this Freddy’s in Lansing, KS. They are waiting for a law suit!! Their floors are not just a little slippery they are EXTREMELY slick!!! I fell banging my knee. If I had broken something I would have definitely sued!!! When I told the ladies at the counter they said “it’s always like this!”… the air conditioning makes it that way”. A man next to me said it is like this ALWAYS even in winter?! I suggested they put more carpet mats down or maybe put in a new floor. One worker added “that’s expensive for a new floor!”. I said well I wonder which is more expensive a million dollar law suit of a customer with broken bones or a new floor. Seems to me this is an on going issue that needs to be addressed ASAP for the safety of its customers. I won’t be back! Someone will definitely fall and sue them! I had been coming to this location faithfully everyday since the day they opened, which is over 3 years. I always got the same thing each and everyday.

I had met alot of great people there. Became friends with several and genuinely had great experiences when I came there at the beginning. The people when we first started coming were great. They really made you feel welcome when you came in.

Unfortunately that group has now been replaced with different people. The enjoyment I used to have when I came there was sadly replaced with the desire to not be there one minute longer than need be.
