Worst experience I've ever had with a Jimmy Johns. Got a notification that my order was delivered 40 minites before I finally called asking if the store had an update. Was hung up on twice when calling from the number associated with the order. Called from a different number and the phone was magically picked up! All I said was "I was wondering about an order I place over an hour ago" he replied with "it's on the road." I asked if he could tell me the order that was out for delivery considering mine said it was delivered 40 minutes ago and we still haven't received it. He continues to insist "it's on the road." He has no idea what my order is, he refused to tell me what orders were out for delivery so I could see if my food was delivered incorrectly. He did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to confirm anything about my order and refused to answer my questions. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've worked in fast food. This is absolutely lazy and unacceptable. This manager needs to be fired or demoted until he can learn how to properly answer a simple question. I want a refund and expect to be contacted by someone apologizing for the terrible way this location handles their business. Over an hour and a half later and still no food or explanation. But they close in 15 minutes so doubt my family will ever see our $40...

Jimmy John's in Lansing made this first time mamma cry!
I ordered a simple Turkey Tom with no tomato (my usual), and thought I had enough money in my account to pay for it, which I did. But sure enough I had grabbed the wrong card... the card linked to an account with $0 in it. It declined over and over. I mustered up a dollar 25 and asked them to try again. I tried transferring money, but it wasn't going through. My card still declined and I felt so embarrassed and defeated! The wonderful woman working the register gave me the sandwich when I only had $1.25 to give. I left in tears! This location is the most friendly, quick, and amazing one I have been to. With a 4 month old son who is teething and crying non stop, I am exhausted. I barely have time to get dressed and shower, let alone eat anything. I'm exhausted and Jimmy John's made my day so much better! Now this mama gets a meal in her car while the baby naps and I have a little more energy! Thank you to the wonderful cashier who helped a fellow woman out. I wish I would've caught your name so I could call corporate and let them know how wonderful you are! Read moreHave had MANY deliveries to my address in the past, but upon trying to order again today, was informed that I am "outside" their delivery zone. When I asked to speak to someone to clarify when this change occured, I was given to a manager. Kate(supposedly the GM) basically became argumentative and called me a liar, concerning my "claim" of previous deliveries. When I asked for a number to corporate to lodge a complaint she refused to comply and hung up on me. Unimaginably insulting to be treated in such a manner.
Bottom line...the food is quite expensive but my order was always correct and decently fresh, the delivery was always slow and customer service was typical for having teens etc. doing the order taking, but not bad until today. The management is clearly HORRIBLE, snide and dismissive. There is an extreme need for training in manners and customer care. I will be sure and let everyone I know of my experience and never spend another penny at this sub shop. There are others in town that are surely comparable and have better pricing, delivery and are likely to have MUCH better...
