Rally's — Restaurant in Lansing

Not sure what is happening at this location. I went there a week ago and was informed they were taking online orders only. When I went this week, I was greeted by Michelle, whose tone of voice suggested immediately that she was annoyed at having to take my order. I ordered a bazonzilla combo and asked for it to be the Fry Lovers'-sized meal. Michelle immediately tried to ring me up for a second combo. When I corrected her, she argued and said i'd asked for the fry lover. I again clarified I wanted the FRY LOVER SIZE. Annoyed, she said "is that all?" I also asked for a 6-piece mozzerella stix and asked Michelle to substitute ranch sauce INSTEAD of the marinara sauce that normally comes with it.

When I got up to the window, service was extremely slow. I did not receive the lemonade I ordered with my meal, and when I looked in my bag to verify its contents, I found she had instead dropped in a bunch of marinara. No ranch in sight. By this time, Michelle had already closed the window. She opened it again and gave me a look that again suggested she was annoyed I hadn't yet moved on. I asked for a couple ranch (as I had ordered at the window. She gave me ONE. When I asked for one more, she said she would have to charge $.32 for a second. I explained that I had wanted to substitute it instead of the marinara she gave me. She again insisted on charging. I again tried to explain I was asking for a substitution, NOT an additional sauce. She refused. Finally, angry, demanded a refund back. By the time I left, I STILL hadn't even received my lemonade.

Let's be clear Rally's. It is EXTREMELY poor customer service to argue over a single cup of sauce, particularly when your customer has ordered almost $15 worth of food and been a regular for months as I have been. Michelle's attitude suggested I was a burden simply for being a customer, and ultimately, this was what made me decide I will not be returning to this Rally's location anytime soon. Foods awesome when toppings are right. Wait time is horrible. And common courtacy is not one of their strong suits. Fries are always prefect though ! I have to admit i go here often with my husband. He works late and thats the only place thats open other than mcdonalds. Well, we have decided we are not going here anymore because my husband always orders the same thing, a number one. Big buford with no onions and extra pickles. Everytime we go there he always ends up getting onions and no pickles. He does not like onions at all so he gets upset, i can understand messing up, sometimes you have a bad day, but everyother night is ridiculous. Dont like your job, dont work there. Tonight which is oct 5th, we go there and the workers in back are blaring the music, and the girl at the window was sreaming at the guy in the back about flirting with her, which she was screaming threw the mic well the other customer heard it. I mean she was calling this man everything in the book. Come on, you guys have good food.. But your service is horrible and you guys do Not know what customer courtesy means. I dont like giving bad reviews but people need to know how ridiculous...

If this place was still bottom of the barrel cheap, I'd give it three stars. Their plain fries are really the only standout item.

Have gone to checkers and rallys my whole life for the most part. When you want some greasy fast goodness, they provided.

But after consistently having poor service at multiple locations, food that is subpar even to their own standards, poor customer service (staff arguing with each other, audibly annoyed when they respond to customers, poorly packaged and cold food) and consistent issues with getting the order correct. It's just not worth the cost anymore.

I always consider them a step down from McDonald's and tying with Burger King. Now they're all overpriced trash honestly. $23 for an adult and a child to eat and only one drink is purchased? Insanity beyond inflation. That's just greed.

At this rate, go to a Coney Island for the same price just about. The food will be a bit better. Just be sure to tip.
