Danny's Restaurant — Restaurant in Laredo

Yesterday September 9, 2021 I placed an order for some cheese enchiladas, was told be ready in 15min which in fact it was accurate.... But when I set foot in the restaurant the lady that was at the cash register was helping a waitress to close a tab, which I understand I have to wait until they finish but didn't have the decency to acknowledge me just by saying "I will be right out with you" nothing no word whatsoever. When she was done I told her that I was there to pick up an order, even at that point she didn't even say "Hi, Hello ot How can I help you" this is so rude, has no manners at all, she's the first person we see as we enter the restaurant and still decides not to be polite with customers (All this happened around 1:40pm) The next thing that also triggered for me to leave this review is that the enchiladas were cold, I actually got there and one of the waitress was just barely bringing my order, I got back to work which is 2 min away from the restaurant and as I am ready to eat the enchiladas were not even warm, beans were dry and with no flavor. Please please I urge you to hire more polite staff that are motivated to work and also hire better cook that do care on how food is...

I arrived just after 8pm on a Tuesday evening because this place was just down the street from my hotel, and there was a sign advertising “$3.99 enchiladas.” There were only a couple of other folks inside at the time, so I sat at the bar.

My Spanish is really bad, so I had to get some help with the menu, but I ended up with the chicken mole poblano enchiladas. The free chips & salsa came out with a couple of different salsa options, both fantastic. Then the enchiladas came out…they may have been the best I’ve ever had. They were WAY more delicious than the $17 plate of mole poblano enchiladas I had a couple of days later at a well-known (and more well-regarded) nearby restaurant on the highway. The version at Danny’s were chock full of shredded chicken.

I couldn’t believe my bill was only $4.23 (tax included)! The service was also great; every time my water was half-full, someone came by to fill it. Everyone was super-kind and very happy that I thought that their enchiladas were...

Worst place ever!!!! NEVER goint back again after what I experienced. I ordered the enchiladas, and I get them cold…… I send them back and they just reheated them, which I don’t mind but by then the texture has change they were soggy so I just didn’t want them. They did offer new ones and I said no I just wanted that off my check! So why does the manager come back and tell me if I don’t pay for them the waitress will!!!!! WDYM my waitress who was nice and kind, and never did anything wrong! Have to pay for my food!!!!!!!

I of course paid the whole check, because I wasn’t going to have my waitress pay $3.99 for my enchiladas!

At this point it wasn’t about the money, but making your employees pay for the restaurants bad quality of food is so wrong!

I will NEVER GO BACK TO THIS NASTY ASS RESTAURANT I ONLY WENT BECAUSE I WAS CLOSE BU THERE I KNOW THE ENCHILADAS ARE $3.99 I wasn’t expecting gourmet!! But to charge your employees for your wrong...
