Danny's Restaurant — Restaurant in Laredo

I had dinner at this Danny’s restaurant (#13) late in the evening of 09/08/21. I sat at table 42 according to the cash register receipt which was printed at 8:48 p.m. During most of the time I was in the restaurant there was only one other occupied table. It seemingly took an inordinate amount of time to get my food (Danny’s Mexican Plate), but the food was all right; not great but mediocre. The waitress was not overly friendly but that wasn’t an issue for me. What is an issue is that my order, including tax was $16.87. I wrote in a tip of $3.00 on the receipt, making a total of $19.87. Ordinarily I might have left a little more tip but the food nor the service called for it on this occasion. Some weeks later when I received my bank statement, Danny’s charged me $20.87, one dollar more than the amount on the original ticket (I still have a copy). Although it’s “only a dollar,” that kind of thing is still theft and is inexcusable. Anyone eating at this location should be wary and monitor your bank statement, because someone who will steal a dollar will steal more. This restaurant used to be my favorite place to have breakfast but for the past year it has been declining in quality and service. Today I ordered some huevos rancheros, side of hash brown and a machacado taco for pick up. When I get home the machacado taco is missing. So I said to my self well I can go back for it later and eat the rancheros first. So then I also noticed my flour tortillas for the rancheros are missing too so now I have to eat them with out the tortilla. I called the restaurant and the lady was sorry and that I would get a credit for the taco and tortillas. The point is that it’s a big inconvenience having to go back out to the restaurant to pick up the taco and tortillas they missed instead they should bring it to my house since it was there fault. My husband and I didn’t have a good time here. The food was bad. The burrito I order was ternera and it was all burnt. The plate for my husband was really small in portion and looked “ run over by a car after being burnt” those were his words. It literally looked like a milanesa(it was supposed to be a steak). Apart from that the kitchen workers were really loud and we could all see they were not even wearing masks. The waitress didn’t pay attention to us and didn’t check up our table. Only when we were going to get up to pay did she show up to gives us the tab. She slammed my plate in the table in front of me. I would not recommend...
