El Querreque Grill — Restaurant in Laredo

The place was not busy and we waited waaaaay too long. I went there with my mother-in-law and my 8-month-old baby. He did so well, not even a fuss for the two-plus hours we waited. I ordered a parrillada for one, and my vegan mother-in-law ordered cheese enchiladas. Well, she wanted the green sauce, not the tomato one, so I asked for the green sauce. She finally got her food, and it was chicken enchiladas! She just wanted the item taken off the tab since that wasn't what she ordered, and the server said she couldn't do that and that we had to exchange it for another one. We ordered the cheese enchiladas to go because we didn't want to keep waiting. The to-go order took a while to come out. I don't understand why she couldn't take the item out and take it back. She said we ordered the chicken and tried to put all the blame on us, not on the miscommunication, even though I repeated my mother-in-law's order in Spanish. Never again coming here. Food is great ... we always eat there ,usually we always get attended by a waitress that is a very good and fast server ...unfortunately she doesn't work on weekends... This weekend ,we ate two days in a row Dec 24 and 25 /2022 Had two different waitresses and they were terrible....both times I had to ask them to refill my cup of coffee.....now I know why this waitresses don't put an effort...they all share the tips...they don't carry their own load .... Since they know there going to share the tips ,they don't have to works as hard.. I blame management for this !! I'm pretty sure they know who's a good server and who's not.... The problem is I'm a good tipper.... From now on this waitresses are going to be disappointed when I leave them a two or three dollar tip...or probably look for another...

I stoped by in the morning because I was craving tacos de barbacoa, and it was the nearest place that sold some. First I ordered 4 tacos because the lady told me there where just regular size, and a cup of apple juice. Then she told me the price was going to be 22 dollars for just 4 tacos!! So then i told her “naa just give me two then” and it came out to around 13 dollars. I decided to give them a chance, maybe the tacos where super good or something... but boy was I wrong. There where just regular sized tortilla tacos and the barbacoa was oozing grease, it would literally shoot out the grease when I would take a bite.
