La Carreta Carnes Asadas — Restaurant in Laredo

Extremely bad service and food! Took them about 45 min since sit down to get us drinks then another 1:20 minutes for one appetizer! 1 waiter for about 30 people then came another waiter a lady that had a bark response for every-time we ask for something! Brought parrillada out and 20 min later we get the tortillas and 10 min later we get the rice and beans. Ordered medium on the meat and we get it past well done! Then they force the tip upon us...claiming on big party’s we must pay tip! Tip should be earned not expected for lousy service! Management needs to get someone with experience that won’t book 4 separate parties without having the personal to attend them! We even had to clean out our own table after 45 min later that we were done all the dirty plates still left on table. We had to set them aside on an empty table! After the extreme lousy service not even a discount...

I went to reserve for a birthday celebration and the lady Miss Estefania was going to take the reservation. Asking tha time and the amount of persons, she asked her manager Angel Rocha who agree. The less than a minute come back and told her not to take the reservation, even though they already had reservations place arguing than the days was very busy and cannot take the reservation. Why they don't treat everyone equal, if they are no taking reservations for that day do for all the people not selecting who to give it. He said I can take my business to somewhere else , which I did I went to the new Eduardo's location, which is very beautiful and the treatment was very different. The lady was very nice and make me feel welcome. Hope this review help the owner and staff to realize clients are very important and hope this not happen again to...

Had a birthday gathering and reserved a table for 30. Ordered some water and were surprised to see them serve Dasani water bottles. Thought maybe their water filter system was down so I ask why the water bottles. Was told for reserving the tables we were not allowed free water and had to pay almost 3 dollars a bottle. I’m just amazed as to how greedy the owners and or management have become! We always order water along with ice tea/soda or drinks and beer. The waiters response was we can’t give u free water either u order a side/tea or we charge u for water. Like the saying goes....there is always a first time for everything! Hope other restaurants don’t follow thru or next thing we now...we all paying 3/5 dollars for a 10 cent...
