The prices were better than expected. Everything we ordered was good except for the oysters. Do not order the oysters. That was a huge mistake. We ordered them as an appetizer and they were actually the last item to arrive. We should have cancelled them to be honest. We complained to the waitress but it didn't do any good.
We ordered fajita tacos and my son, who is a super picky eater, loved them. We ordered aguachile in Salva Verde, delicious. The fish stuffed with seafood was also delicious, not to mention huge. We ordered shrimp mole enchiladas and I liked them but my husband and daughter weren't big fans.
I ordered a blue Hawaiian and the waitress had never heard of it, I think its a pretty basic drink. The bartender did an excellent job making it.
I see other reviews mentioned excellent service and that wasn't out experience. We kept having to call the waitress and a couple of times we called a different waitress because ours was nowhere to be found. She also didn't speak much English which can be annoying. The ambience is nice and trendy. The best thing about this place was the cucumber water. It's 4 bucks and...
Read moreThe food, flavor, and temperature is always on point. The location is prime always clean and good ambience. I usually stop by at least once a month to enjoy my favorite dish. Hija de Papi ( a tiradito de atun o aguachile de atun) it is a spicy jalapeño soy sauce drenched tuna and avocado slices). This dish is usually a great portion to share with at least 3 people. Now, as a business owner myself I understand inflation is a HUGE factor in plenty of changes in a business. Also, its not about the 20dlls. It's about a proper portion and not making a customer feel like they are being taken advantage of. 😕 During my visit there was no manager on site and sadly the staff could only say that other customers have also complained. My loyalty to a restaurant is based on consistency. Today, I wish my second choice for lunch had won the coin toss. The pic shows the lack of tuna portion...
Read moreWe are Lilly white truck drivers that speak very little Spanish. Our very adorable waitress was equally inefficient at English. She tried VERY hard to communicate and towards the end of our visit had moved to a translation app. ANYWAY.... After 4 weeks on the road, wife and I were really NEEDING to sit down at a table and have a nice meal (with a Margarita) We had a grilled Artichoke as an appetizer. A raw tuna dish called something de Papi, or...Papi de something?? And the Shrimp tacos. (that were called something else too) All of it was FABULOUSLY unequal and distinctive to anywhere else. Beautiful presentation of the food. Very modern surroundings and ambiance....
