BEWARE!! There's this GameStop employee named Jose (ID 234614, tall, clean-cut hair, very short beard, stocky, middle aged man with salt-pepper hair) who kept trying to add warranty to my purchase for "free".
I kept saying no at least four times but Jose insisted after every denial to add it because it was "free". He didn't explain why it would be "free" and even started becoming frustrated.
I've never heard of free warranty at GameStop. To my knowledge, employees can redeem your points for a voucher ($1, $5, etc.) which they can then use towards the warranty. It leads me to believe he wanted to meet his quota at my expense and without telling me the process. I understand it's part of the job, but this is not the way to do it.
Aside from that, every time I've interacted with him, he's never friendly or welcoming which makes me not even go there anymore. Other employees typically welcome and thank but this guy rarely does.
Just wanted to give a heads up to other customers to be careful and make sure employees don't try to add stuff without your knowledge. All other employees have been great, but this experience soured...

So I called the nearest store and this very nice man offered to help me place the order , but I needed to go into the store. Me and my son drive to the store and once in the store this Young man asked if I needed some help. Told him I had just called regarding a Nintendo switch I wanted to purchase online, he automatically knew it was me on the phone and told me my order is on his screen ready for purchase. š² I told him I had never been to this store Or any game stop store and that it was my sons first console. He welcomed me and My son and made us feel so comfortable, explaining on sales and promotions the store has done times. After our purchase I wanted to shake his hand but for safety purposes due to Covid-19, I was only able to wave and thanked this wonderful young man Ignacio for all his help. My son and I are so excited and will wait anxious for his console and games to arrive. Wonāt be the last time I shop here....

She not only answered every question every guest had with genuine sincerity, she took care of everyone at a nice, fast pace. She didnāt hold back on offering every guest the upgrade to the pro. She offered many alternatives to a male guest, who was searching for something for his sons switch, so that even HE can play with his son. Really! Same friendliness and amazing vibe with every guest she had in store. The only disappointing part was that she was alone in a peak hour. I believe that she couldāve used an extra set of hands so she didnāt look overwhelmed as she took care of that male guest and myself at the same time; but that may not necessarily be her fault so Iām not taking off any stars.
