First off I want to clarify that Iâm a frequent customer and this is the first time I give a bad review for target. I can say that I have never ran into any issues when it comes down to customer service . Everyone is always happy to help til yesterday. I had bought some cute clothing items for my daughter but they were too big so I decided to go check out the other target by San Dario to exchange items for smaller size. At customer service I was helped by a cashier which I noticed was in training. I mention that I had payed less at the other target for the pants I was returning but I wanted an even exchange for a smaller pair. The cashier offered to refund then she would charge me after.i had payed with a credit card so that would take a few days to go back on my acct. So I asked her to just do an exchange or give me cash back so I can make the purchase on the other items I was getting. The cashier offered a gift card and I told her I was providing a receipt. A trainee Alexandra quickly jumped in with an attitude asking me âwhatâs the problemâ. I told her what I wanted to do and she said â they donât do even exchanges or price match from other targets anymoreâ. I asked since when did they change it. Alexandra replied in sassy manner pointing at herself â I didnât change itâ. Itâs company policy since 3 months ago. I told her I had never had that issue and i needed to speak to a manager. Which she replied rudely and with a smirk on her face âI am the managerâ she then told me I only had the option to get a refund to my card or get a gift card. So I told her to get the total on the items I was getting so I can make sure itâs an even amount . She walked away to help another customer without saying anything and just left the cashier to help me. Which she helped me to the best of her knowledge. I then Requested a regional managers number or another managers name and the trainee Alexandra asked me âfor what âwhich I responded I needed to talk to them and she said she couldnât give out personal information. All that was happening while having a line behind me of over 4 ppl. I had never felt so embarrassed returning something. Even though I knew she was wrong . I called customer relations and they confirmed that the trainee Alexandra gave me false...
