Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Laredo

I preordered and pre-paid for a specific ice cream cake to be ready for pickup 2days later. Apparently, there was a "misunderstanding" where there was no order form for my cake. The cake does not resemble the Cake called "Birthday Cake Cookie Fudge" pictured on their Life is Sweet cake brochure. Since they had to assemble it right then and there, the fudge poured on the top just slid off the top of cake along with whipped cream and Oreo cookies. It did not have time to set since it was assembled on the fly. The brochure says "Make it Unforgettable" ....really? How can you not forget when a disaster cake goes wrong for a birthday party with no backup. For sure, I will never order a cake from here again. Very disappointed. Expect a kids portion instead of a small scoop. We are family of four all of us we asked for small size ice cream cone, by the time I ordered and gave me my “ small chocolate strawberry in a sugar cone” I noticed the portions where half scoop of ice cream and 5 pieces of strawberries! The cone looked balanced as pictured at the store… for those 4 “small ice cream” we payed $ 23.77 Better go to HEB for that amount of money. I asked the guy serving the scoops… that if it was a kids portion? Because it didn’t look like a small portion.. he replied if you want I can charge you as a kid! Then the coworker girl asked, he told him what I said and she said: just put a little more ice cream in the top… unfortunately I didn’t took pictures. Never will spend another cent at this place ever again as I felt really unwelcome and embarrassed. 5/29/24 got down for ice cream with my nephew as soon as my nephew wanted something the cashier asked me “is he gonna pay” “he’s with you” “are you paying for him?” Cashier completely embarrass me in front of my nephew assuming he was gonna dip. Another issue is they don’t accept any other form of payment other than cash! What kind of place is this ?? We’re in 2024!! Never going to return cause cashier thought my nephew was going to steal !...
