Mi Tierra Cafe Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Laredo

Overall I was not very happy with this visit. There were only two other tables with people. Enter the restaurant and it took them more than 10 minutes to sit us down. Once we sat down it took him another 15 minutes just to bring the menus. The place was dead, there should have not been a wait. The staff almost ignored us since we have walked in. Outside the place they have a big billboard that shows the special they have. We asked for the special and they said that they don't do it anymore. I told him "but it's on the sign outside" . They didn't care. They just offered us something that was almost double the price. We asked about their different dishes and they couldn't give us a straight answer. They couldn't give us a price that was cleared to understand. Because we were tired and hungry and spent a lot of time there we settled on ordering something small. We kept having to ask them for everything. We asked for our drinks then asked for chips and salsa and then had to ask for utensils. Also had to ask for napkins. When we finally got the food, it looked promising. The taste was not as good as they looked. The fajitas tasted like they were in a bin all day long. Very rubbery and disappointing. The atmosphere felt awkward.

Worst place to eat. Very dirty, and dont get me started on the kitchen. Employees peen literally on the kitchen floor. Buckets of chicharrones, beans, rice on the floor while people are sweping. The explode there employees, dont pay when they have too, owners are very rude to there employees. Overdue food in there freezer. Mouses running in the kitchen Im suprised they still running this garbage of a restaurant. They are super racist with there costumers. If u come in a bus u only get the buffet nothing else and buffet is limited. 17 dollars for a burned fajita plate while other people eat from the regular menu. Never...

Service was good, the food was ok. I had a tampiquena that came with a chalupa, enchiladas callejeras, and a steak. The steak was pretty good. I wasn't really a fan of the enchiladas. The waitress apologized because the enchiladas rojas that are listed on the menu aren't offered anymore. I was grateful for the chalupa because it had a lot of guacamole on it. I took off the guacamole and ate it with the steak lol. The frijoles charros were also just ok. We went on a Sunday afternoon. For 3 of us our bill came out to about $40.
