Taco Palenque Guadalupe — Restaurant in Laredo

Last week on May 31st at approximately 11:20ish, I went to dine in at this particular Taco Palenque on Guadalupe, with my mother-in-law and children. I went to go order at the counter while they sat outside and I must have been standing there with no one in line, for almost 10 minutes straight. I thought to myself “Okay, maybe they just hit a rush at drive thru, they’re busy I understand” but then I see the lady who was attending drive thru start to clean right in front of me. I realized I was being completely ignored.

Finally after everyone pretending I wasn’t there standing ready to order, a man who was the manager attended to me. (I was surprised since he too looked right over me.) After he asked “how can I help you” I replied with “are you closing already????”. When I asked that, all the employees stopped what they were doing to look at me. I assume they thought I was going to get angry because they knew I had been ignored. I honestly should have left but I was visiting from San Antonio and my Mother in Law had just lost her Mother. I was there to accompany her and this incident really ruined my whole night. The only great worker there was an older man who brought out our food. He was so sweet and hardworking. The whole atmosphere was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. I almost felt as if the employees did not want us there and we were a bothersome. I love TP and in all the years I’ve eaten at this chain restaurant, I never thought I could experience horrible customer service at any of them. Judging by the reviews at this TP, I believe there needs to be more monitoring...

its not a long wait in the drive thru but the tacos were half filled .... usually 1 taco can be made into 2 with the extra tortilla but recently the tacos arent filled the same and u end up paying more....

UPDATE: I Received a call after 7pm on April 18th but missed it and have called and emailed back but no answer just a voicemail where i have left my information.

update: received a code and now im at the restaurant feeling like im doing wrong....the manager and the whole staff looked at me like why do i get free food and im waiting til this coupon code is verified.

im grateful for the hospitality but some work needs to be done on communication between management. Also, the drink machine was out of all flavors except coke and pibb.

I'll stick to the San Bernardo location atleast if they get things wrong its because of the high...

Awesome place they now have the taco palenque app where u can order online and you get a free pirata coupon on your next purchase only one customer per coupon but you need to get off to get the pirata you cant order it through the app which I recommend they should add the feature to there app with promo code so we can order it on app. The restaurant is hot tho inside we tired eating inside but it feels stuffy and hot restuarant needs to fix air con so people can you comfortable inside. The down side is drive thru it's always packed and once ur I'm drive thru theres no way out ur stick theres no space to get out. Upside is that they have shade I'm parking spaces with canopys. Food...
