This was the first time I've been very disappointed with the food. I ordered the filet o fish and it was old. I ordered it with extra tartar sauce which is considered a "grill order" which means it needs to be made fresh. It was definitely an expired sandwich. The large iced tea had no ice. and the large coca cola had hardly any ice. The cheeseburgers also were old. Back drive through customer service young lady was great. The pick up window staff needs to be trained on their customer service skills. Instead of moving the customers along by giving an update on the food, they just left me sitting there without a word. Then when the food was ready they handed it out and said "there you go". That's fine but after waiting all that time, I expected the food to be fresh. I would have gone back to bring everything back, but it was late and I didn't want to deal with the staff. I threw the sandwiches out. The cookies were good. This McDonald's used to be my favorite store. I'd pass other stores just to go to this store. The last few times though there seems to be issues with that drive through moving efficiently. No fault of the order takers, just the order deliverers. Obviously, this store must have had some changes to management or ownership. Whatever it is it shows in their food and service. I was an employee of McDonald's for years, and I know it's not easy work. I realize that and always give the people that work there consideration of that fact. It's dealing with the public. But remember. if your customers can pick any store to patronize, why wouldn't you want it to be your store. Better service, good food equals customer loyalty....
Read moreThis is a pretty reliable McDonald's for decent food & service. The people could use more training in smiling or at least looking at the customer as they hand you your food thru the window. I think McDonald's would do well to train their restaurant employees in how to use their app online for people who are really trying to use it but have a problem when trying to redeem a gift card, for example, as I did. I had to go in, but nobody had any idea how to make it work online. The manager I had didn't even know how to use the app herself! I just finally gave up & ordered inside cuz I was already inside, but then I didn't get my reward points for ordering online. It was $10; so I would have appreciated those rewards. Their comment? "Sorry." Oh, well. Half the time I forget they expire anyway. LOL I think everybody is having problems with employees nowadays, but I think it especially plagues the food industry.
All of that aside, it is my understanding that this McDonald's on Ulmerton near Belcher is privately owned, not a company store. The owner has been described to me by one employee as a very kind, considerate man who tries to keep breakfast open, if at all possible, until 11:00 AM even during the week. I don't know if it's still that way, but it's something to keep in mind for those mornings you're running late. You can always depend on hot fresh, French fries and chicken nuggets from this McDonald's. McRibs, too, when I'm lucky enough to catch their too-short comebacks. Sure wish they'd become a menu staple. Along with hot dogs & grilled cheese. Hint, hint, McDonald's! {sigh} A girl can...
Read moreNot quite sure what is wrong with the staff that works at this location. Every time I go in here, the staff is arguing with each other and customers. I understand that jobs can get stressful at times, but there seems to be issues EVERY TIME I enter this place. On Saturday night, I witnessed the so-called manager on duty argue with a customer, cussing her out over an order of nuggets. Mind you, the customer was cool, calm, and collective the entire time and simply wanted an explanation for her order being incorrect. The impatient manager on duty this night took it upon herself to cuss the customer out and then proceeded to ignore the customer afterwards without resolving the simple issue at hand. This was not the first time I’ve witnessed the employees taking like this to customers, unfortunately. In addition, I waited 10 minutes for an employee to seal my DoorDash order while she casually looked on to what was happening. I was never greeted, spoken to, or anything. Instead, the entire staff was so locked in to the poor behavior of this “manager”, they ignored the fact that they had a dining room full of paying customers. Let’s also acknowledge that this location is consistently dirty, messes up orders, and allows for loitering outside of its establishment. I am appalled at the behaviors of this staff and lack of respect for people, let alone paying customers. There is no excuse for individuals (especially those who consider themselves a McDonald’s manager) to treat...
