The best drive through experience I've ever had provided to me by the staff of two key employees with outstanding people skills Friday, November 16, 2018, at about 2:15pm. The Dr. Pepper seemed to lack sugar, so the male window attendant switched it out for a Coke with a smile (sigh of relief). The no salt fry came up late so the young lady cooking came to the window to explain what the delay was. I absolutely don't mind waiting for a special request and expect it actually, as I pulled forward to wait. I formerly worked for Chef Wolfgang Puck, who always preferred McDonald's french fries to even his own, which is the HIGHEST compliment from a world reknown chef, that one might receive, even though not personally from his lips;) He used to say, simple is always best in the kitchen and noted the crispness of their fry and that there was nothing he could to,go improve upon them. Anyway, the young lady brought my order to the car. It was hot, which is the first thing I check for. Thrilled that there was no mustard on the burger - ✔. Shocked that she gave me an apple pie and a strawberry sundae for my trouble! I shall remain a loyal customer of McDonald's on Walsingham Road in Largo because of these two employees who displayed outstanding customer service, during a time where it has become a thing of the past. Other restaurants, same chain, often disappoint because they lack consistency. Nothing is more annoying than to drive for that special hot french fry lunch (no burger) and they come back an hour old!!! Many thanks to these two employees and my congratulations to the McDonald's management for setting the bar higher than than the competition. Worth...
Read more9//23 8:53am.. to be fair apparently corporate received the complaint and had that same Mgr call back to apologize, and stayed she would address the problem. Apology accepted.
9/11/23 Some of the staff at this location are incredibly rude (drive thru female on duty at approximately 8:13 am today) and Mgr Marta do and to condone the rude and unprofessional behavior. Drive thru asked for a moment to review menu.. she said ok. I waited, called out 5x no response . She finally came back yelling thru the loud speaker saying place your order. GOOD GRIEF...I asked why she was yelling. Her response was you said wait I indicated but I called out five times and there was no answer. It declined from there.. and then decided enough and I told her I didn't want to argue and I would just let corporate know her response was "Even better". Needless to say went to Dunkin Donuts instead... called the restaurant back , got the Mgr Marta who said she had been listening to the conversation and didn't feel that her employee was yelling.. when I asked her if she heard me reach out five times and she heard the employee say even better if I call corporate did she hear that part what I received was radio silence ....she finally said have a nice day and hung up. So it's a circle the wagons mentality she didn't address it and they do what they want fearlessly because leadership doesn't care. I'm going to McDonald's customer for over 50 years never have I been treated so rudely. There was no reason for that... all either one needed to do was say have a good day.... clearly it's a leadership issue they both feel comfortable doing it why spend your...
Read moreI placed an order for 4 of my guys. I just wanted a cheeseburger. Easy enough right? Not here. I got back to work, sat down to eat. I immediately notice the burger's thickness (or should I say, thin-ness). It looked like somebody sat on the burger. Is that what happened? How does a burger (in the bun)get to be a half an inch thick? I figured I'd just eat it & go on with my life. So I took a bite, it didn't taste right so I had to spit it out. I guess to be fair, after seeing the cheeseburger, I pretty much lost my appetite. Now I have to leave work once again & drive all the way back to McDonald's. I asked for a fresh burger & a caramel sundae for the inconvenience of having to go back & for my time. Whoever was running the place said NO. She said she's had problems with us in the past - of course she has, this is not my first time eating here. We put up with a lot. As it's not uncommon that there are missing items, or items we didn't order, or they just get the order all screwed up. Keep in mind that I usually pick up food for myself & my service team. My time is worth nothing to you. As long as you got the money, the #&*@ with the customer. I'm guessing, instead of throwing out old product they give it to the drive thru customers. They'll be many miles away before they realize they were given such terrible food. I will never eat MCDONALD'S again! Now that I think about it I should be thanking you. I'm sure not eating McDonald's will add many healthy...
