Where do I begin? When we - party of 4- entered, there was a party of 2 right in front of us. There was 1 booth left. The party of 2 told the girl seating them that they wd be fine at a table for 2 instead of a booth. She sat them at a the last remaining booth anyway knowing that we were waiting, then told us it was be a 30-40 minute wait. We were considering leaving when the table by the door told us they were leaving so, we told the woman we wd just wait for that table. She sd she wd have to get permission from her boss because it was a bigger booth for 6. Then came back and said if we insisted on that table, it would still be 1/2 hour. They left. It was 1/2 hour before being seated because no one would clean it. While waiting for our table we all got a drink which by the time we left, we were asked to pay for 2 additional times after it was already paid, once at the bar and once after being seated. We ordered 2 pizzas, 10 wings and 1 order of linguini w white clam sauce. Oh, and 1 bowl of the worst French onion soup I've ever had. It had almost no liquid. All bread and cheese. Terrible. Then our food took OVER a full hour to come out. We were told- "I told you chicken wings take a long time. You didn't have to get them". First of all, we are all from Buffalo and know that chicken wings DO NOT take over an hour. Our waitress never came over to refill our drinks or ask us anything. 4 other parties came in, ordered, ate their food, paid the bill and left before we were even served our food. Then it took 10 minutes to get boxes. You should never have to be at a restaurant for 2 1/2 hours for a party of 4. We were made to feel unwelcome from the moment we went in. In our party were people in our 50s, 60s and 80s, celebrating a 30th anniversary for the couple in their 80's. The whole event was terrible. We...
Read moreI am writing to formally express my disappointment with the service provided by one of your waitstaff members, Becky (or Becca).
My family has been dining at Pizza Shack for nearly 40 years, enjoying countless gatherings and creating meaningful memories over delicious meals. Despite experiencing consistently poor customer service from Becky/Becca over the years, we chose to continue patronizing your establishment because our family time and the overall experience outweighed those frustrations. In fact, we always appreciated when any other staff member served us.
However, an incident on March 8 marked the final time I was willing to tolerate the unacceptable treatment from Becky/Becca. After filing a verbal complaint with the manager regarding her behavior, I was disheartened to receive not empathy or a constructive response, but rather accusations (throughout our meal and later through a phone call at my Dad's house) of dishonesty and an overall lack of support. This reaction from management was both surprising and disappointing.
To further illustrate the concern, during a visit on February 25, 2025, my 88-year-old father—who is recovering from hip surgery—was treated rudely by Becky. The manager later confirmed that security footage showed Becky pushing my father as he stood near the hostess stand awaiting a seat.
These repeated incidents are deeply troubling, especially considering our long-standing 40 year loyalty to Pizza Shack. I hope this message prompts a thoughtful review of the situation and a commitment to ensuring that all guests are treated with respect and care. This post allows you to add photos - I would love to show the 100's of photos that we have taken with many family members and family friends...
Read moreI highly do not recommend this place for anyone. Owner and workers is disrespectful and very unpleasant by threatening you to tip more. No politeness or respect for customers, was threatened to receive “crappy service” or to leave. Definitely the rudest people to encounter with.
Back to your response: Correction your mannerisms when approaching the table was very unacceptable, your approach felt hostile and your tone was obviously heard with other patrons. My father de-escalated an obvious confrontation. Going back to your server and now recording for public view the waiter needs to be more vigilant when refilling drinks. On 1 previous occasion she lacked timing and we had to wave her down. On another sit down she was chatting with customers and took extremely long for refills. It’s a small area so not sure why it took so long to fill drinks, while eating spicy food. On the third attempt she actually done better, thus the $2 tip. If you feel your workers work hard; pay them better it seems they depend on tips for their salary. and on your lack of professionalism take a course on youtube on how to become a...
