Yellow Banks Groves — Restaurant in Largo

Yellow Banks Groves is one of the first stops we make when visiting Indian Rocks. I live that after all these years they are still latex free! We dream of this delicious tangy orange icream all year and can’t wait for the day we return. This place seriously has the best ice-cream and never disappoints even after a five years. We enjoy stopping in and shopping a bit to see what new delights they have! We always make sure to stock up on the Honey-bells for the week and find some fun trinkets/ souvenirs and the most comfortable & stylish hats to keep the Beautiful Floridian sunshine from your eyes. We were thrilled to learn that they will ship the fruit for you! So if you want to send a loved one some Florida oHine-Bells oranges or other delicious fruit this is the place to go.

After shopping we reward our selves with the orange soft served ice cream. This ice-cream just makes your day when that tart crisp orange ice cream which is bursting with flavor hits your tastebuds! You can’t help but smile and know you are in Florida! I love sitting outside in their designated are that has benches and enjoy the sunshine, some small talk with locals and my Florida...

After the turtle park my two kids & I headed to YBG for a treat of ice cream, like we usually do. There were two ladies working the front counter. My children & I entered the store & she immediately began yelling "whatever you need you need to hurry" throwing her hands around & using a scolding tone "we are closed we closed at 530" in complete shock I said nothing & looked at my phone, it was 5:31. Instead of over reacting I said "that's ok, we would have liked an ice cream but that's fine if it's too much trouble, we'll leave & go elsewhere." .. she continued her tantrum & said "that's fine & don't come back". I replied "shame on you" & she continued her tantrum. I have NEVER experienced such HORRID customer service, EVER. New store hours, & apparently new work ethics. Her entire demeanor, tone, & language was COMPLETELY out of line & should be handled appropriately. As I local we enjoy YBG & I'm constantly suggesting to tourists, friends, & family. We will never make that mistake again. Unfortunate, but YBG lost our business & referrals. We will continue to support kooky coconut & tropical ice cream & all the other novelty...

In regards to J Hooper's review, LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have lived in the neighborhood of Yellow Banks Grove for almost 31 years. I personally know each and everyone of the personal that work there, including the owner. Each one of them have a family, have closes to wash, diner to make, shopping to do, and probably many more chores to do. They work from 8:00 AM until 5:30 PM each and every day of the week this time of year. What makes you think they should stay open for you, after hours to put in a 5 family order? You should have left home, or wherever you were a few hours earlier, to get there in time to place your order. It seems to me that YOU were mad that they didn't bend over backwards for a inconsiderate customer who showed up way late to place a 5 family order. I for one, will give Yellow Banks Groves a 5 star rating each and every day of the week for having GREAT personal and a fine...
