I want to love Loveski...and the first two times I did! Matzoh ball soup delicious and the yeast bagel with butter, egg and cheese perfect! But in the half dozen times since, each has been an execution, quality, and service fail. Today one of the expeditors is sick and coughing on the line, not covering his mouth. He should not be working at all, and certainly not on the line directly exposed to food. I observed a manager in the kitchen bring a sliced bagel to his nose (touched his nose!!) to smell it...Why!? The same manager mistakenly put plain cream cheese on a bagel and instead of starting over he scraped it and put lox spread on top. My $14 yeast bagel to-go with butter, egg and cheese mistakenly came with egg and sausage. I walked back and it was again incorrectly made with only egg! My order was communicated to the kitchen numerous times in English and Spanish and yet the kitchen could not get this simple order right. Especially when paying such extraordinary prices I expect accuracy, consistency and quality. I want Loveski to succeed but unless they can address quality control I will not return. Please note that I attempted to contact the store directly to share this feedback rather than writing a review but the phone does not ring and instead has a verizon message saying the location is busy. ...

Glancing at the menu, you don't have to look hard to find sandwiches north of $20... Uh oh, maybe strike 2? But, wait a second... is that someone moving with a purpose, cleaning up tables and restocking the Sunday papers? Indeed, I was sold!
Both items we had, a breakfast sandwich and some Latkes were great and came out fast and hot! It was enough for 2 people to share for a light-ish late breakfast or early lunch. The prices, while a bit steep, as others have noted, could be managed with a little sharing on your part and the fact they had the New York Times & local papers available to leaf through as you sat at the counter was just the icing on the cake!
All the staff members were quick and kept the place looking clean as a whistle! I'll put it on my list...
Read moreThis place is a complete joke. For example they serve a $22 panini with about $3 worth of actual raw input costs. Marin/ Sausalito/ San Rafael restaurants and shopping are rarely about value and more about overcharging the locals based on property values/ incomes…But this place takes it to another level and should be embarrassed. They find a way to extort you in every possible context while you’re simply attempting to procure a meal.
A bagel/ sandwich meal for 2 adults and 3 kids costing $80 is almost so surreal I thought I was taking crazy pills for a hot second…. Then I realized while looking the receipt that the nickel and dimming here is out of control.
An extra $5 charge if you request the gluten free bagel!? Why?…. Well cause they know that if you’re trying to eat clean; that’s another opportunity to pad their margins. One and done and never...
