It's off a busy road and there is a busy ferry running right next to it. That and you're right next to San Quentin prison. So it's just a nice waterfront area with some benches and that's about it. Very little parking unfortunately.

Lisa & I parked off for a break on our road trip visit from Australia and walked through to the San Quentin Main Street entrance. Met some great people and had a chat to the guard on duty, who was very knowledgeable on the local history. Thank you well...
