So we came from El Paso, Texas to try this IHOP here in Las Cruces and let me tell you we are very disappointed. First of all when you walk in you can feel how hot it is and how bad it smells like sewer. So we ended up sitting in the back because that was the only area they do have AC. It’s a Monday so they were not busy at all. Our server Lilliana started off very well and as we proceeded to place our order her attitude just started changing. My girlfriend got up to change her order because she wanted waffles. They said it was fine. But let me tell you that it took 34 minutes for us to get our food. And we have been to a lot of IHOPs and this has never happened to us. Yes we understand that we made a change to one plate, but I don’t think it was too much of a change to take 34 minutes. And when we did get our food, our pancakes were very cold. And on top of that, they were the smallest pancakes I have ever seen at any IHOP. But what really put the icing on top was when a family of 5 sat in next to us. Let me just put it to you this way. They got their food and milkshakes in 15 minutes. I know because I timed it. And not only did they get their food in 15 minutes, but the manager was the one who helped Lilliana bring their food. We were ready to leave very disappointed. So I told the server to bring us our check. She literally took 5 minutes to bring me my check. And yes I had to get up to look for her in order for her to bring me my check. I was planning on leaving her a $10 tip from the moment I walked in, but I ended up giving...
Read moreMy wife and arrived separately after work. I wanted a "soft meal" due to having visited a dentist earlier in the day. While I was waiting for her I heard yelling in the direction of the kitchen. The restaurant was nearly empty. I noticed a small party seated far from me near the kitchen. One of the members was a young man who had a disability, possibly Tourette syndrome, as he would occasionly yell something. I advised my wife when she arrived, not to be alarmed if she hears someone yelling. A short time later, an older couple arrived and was seated, but not near the other party. After a few moments, the boy yelled something, catching the attention of the older couple. A few minutes later, the couple caught the attention of my (and their) waitress and trainee. I overheard the couple ask what the yelling was about. Andreanna calmly explained that the boy was mentally challenged, or something of that nature. I heard the woman ask, "Don't you feel threatened by them?" Andreanna calmly and politely said, "No, they're just eating dinner". After a few moments the couple got up and left. When I was able to tell Andreanna that she handled the situation calmly and professionally, she said that the couple was indignant that the boy and his party was allowed to remain in the restaurant. Well done by...
Read moreWorst mistake ever choosing this place. First off I am a waitress for Wecks for 5 years (a breakfast place as well) and Lescombes, so I work in the industry i know what it takes. I don't get many chances to eat out with my family and some drove from El Paso. When we entered we were ignored for about 5 to 10 min while the whoever it was rolled silverware until I said somthing. No communication on setting up tables or booths so someone was "setting up a table" while another was sitting us at a dirty booth. 7 different things we ordered and they were out of all of it. And kept coming to tell us at different intervals after we placed the order.. the best one was 10 minutes after everyone finally got last ditch efforts of food ( no one getting what they wanted originally) they came to tell me that the 4th thing i had picked ( huevos? Corn tortillas and eggs??? ) they were ALSO out of....after they made my whole tables food and they were already eating ... i don't understand it. They used the truck and being busy every excuse but I WORK in a breakfast restaurant... we order more during busy season we make it work man. Very very poor management and just everything. I had significant blood loss I was recovering from and desperately needed to eat and I ended up leaving having not eaten...
