Rating 3.75 stars. Unfortunately not quite a 4 but definitely higher than a 3.
Let me start by saying that if you are hungry then this isn't the place to go, no grilled chicken or grilled salmon and if you add smoked salmon (only choice) to one of the salads then your salad will cost $16-$17 which is ridiculously VERY expensive for a place you order from the counter.
The place when you walk in is quaint and cute. Its a cafe where you order at the counter and they bring it to you. Such beautiful scenery with the lake and mountains and relaxing music. Highly recommend the view and the hanging lavender from the ceiling is dandy! Seating is help yourself inside, few booths and some smaller tables with chairs.( Wish they had proper outside tables and chairs as the attraction would have been able to be appreciated more). As far as the food goes, its clean, healthy and tasty. Just not enough. We ordered 2 salads and were happy with them however had to stop and pick up something to eat on way home. But definite felt like we ate some fresh food. This may be more suited for a woman who doesn't eat much but not for a guy with a normal appetite.
Pros:- Beautiful scenery , lake and mountains . Salads are decorated and presented well. Friendly Staff. Fresh and Healthy Produce.
Cons:- -Its expensive for what you get. E.g $5 plus for a flavored latte. I refuse to pay that much for something that is coffee powder, water and milk. Salad no meat starting at $12. -NO outside seating that you would consider using apart from 2 broken tables which I wouldn't want to eat at. -NO choice of meats (chicken, beef, grilled salmon, turkey) in your salad. -Cups for water are tiny, had to make multiple...

Baby Birds Service & ambiance: You put in your order and the staff brings your dish to your table. All the staff we came across were friendly during our visit. There's plenty of mobile tables and chairs throughout the open dining area. Neutral colors are utilized well and there's a nice view of the lake with the massive houses by the shore. There's plenty of flowers, potted and bedded plants, and indoor foliage to provide a gorgeous dining area. For a small cafe, Baby Birds maximizes the beauty and decor in a smart and efficient manner. Your social media fans will love your posts.
Baby Birds Cuisine: We enjoyed everything we ordered. My berry farm acai bowl was prepped well and tasty. The bff's Baby Birds salad was gorgeous to look at and was delish in taste. Their avocado toast was fantastic: The generous piece of toast came out warm, the poached egg yolk was on point, and they were extremely generous with spinach side salad that accompanied the toast. Carrots, tomatoes, edible flowers, radishes, etc are used to enhance the healthiness and prettiness of their dishes. They really take the time to prep your dish for maximum taste as well as visually appealing. Each dish is edible art in motion. Very impressive.
I was really blown away by the pretty savory offerings at Baby Birds. The location is off the beaten path but they're going to get popular quickly because they offer a great experience all around. Next time I'm on this side of town I'll be back to try more...
Read moreEdit! I gave them one star back because they updated their closing practices. Thank you! Last time I went in, I believe last call was the posted time, versus the time they kick you out. I did feel like I still had to rush, though.
This place has so much potential. My biggest complaint about them is that the closing time they post (3pm) is not the last seating time, like every other restaurant in Las Vegas and beyond, but rather the time they will politely kick you out if you are not finished dining. Their kitchen closes at 2:30, unless they feel like closing earlier. I was finally able to eat quickly, before being rushed out, on my second visit there. The salad was VERY PRETTY, the tahini dressing, was VERY TASTY, the service is kind, but not up to speed on restaurants. The location is AWESOME, except the fact that the windows were filthy, so I couldn't enjoy my view, and the outside seating was missing seats. I had transferred outside, after they "closed", to discover that I had to finish my salad, standing up. The decor idea is good, very cute and unique, but they should really team up with a local florist for some fresh flowers, maybe even offer them for sale. I found it cool that much of the staff are Francophone. The food is good, so far. I will be back to try something else, and I hope that they improve. I appreciate the fact that they use organic and local ingredients whenever possible. They just need to learn a bit more about the industry, at least in the...
