I am done with lakes lounge. Been a regular customer for a while. No more. The customer service has been terrible lately. Doesn’t matter what time I go. I am a very easy going person. I don’t ask for much. Usually order the same thing each time. I’m in I eat I pay and I’m out. Usually 30 minutes or less.
Sat Jan 4th I come in around 5pm after a long day of work. The restaurant is fairly busy but I am lucky to get a booth next to the entrance without any wait. Unfortunately the problems started right away. After getting my water I patiently wait for someone to take my food order. The menu is still on the table untouched because I already know what I want. Well 10 minutes go by and nothing. I make eye contact with 1 of the servers but I guess I am not her table. So she skips me. Instead she goes to the booth in front of me, a couple who sat after I did and takes their order. That’s fine, I should have my order taken soon. Nope. It took almost 30 minutes for someone to take my order. Customers who were seated after I was had food on their table before anyone even came by my table. Menu is still on my table. Clearly I haven’t been helped yet. The hostess is telling new customers coming in that theirs a wait list. Well I’m sitting at my table doing nothing. Finally someone comes to take my order. The excuse was she didn’t know I was her table. Not sure what that means but ok. Nobody noticed me sitting there and thought hey he’s been sitting there for a while. Maybe we should check on him. Well anyway I order, and of course the food is delayed. I can hear the server saying out loud where is the steak he ordered. Poor people waiting outside while I’m taking up a booth not doing anything because there’s no service available at my table.
When it’s all said and done I finally get my order. I eat pay and leave. Arrived at 5 and left around 630. Unacceptable really. But despite my long winded story, I still came back one more time
Sun Jan 12 I come to the bar around 330 am. Again after a long night of work. I just want to order something and get out. Well Stefanie the bartender is not a very kind person and she makes people wait around to pay despite it being slow inside the bar.
Tired of receiving poor service each time I come here. So I’m done. Plenty of other places nearby that offer 24-7 food and good service. They won’t...
Read moreI am floored. I’ve never had a bad experience here and I’ve been here more times than i want to admit. I came in with my elderly parents. My mom has vertigo and standing can be difficult for her so I asked if we could sit while waiting for a table. I was waved towards a table so we sat. There were no other booths available and my parents do better in a booth so as we saw a couple ready to leave, we waited. They finally left and we sat in the booth although it was still dirty. I found it odd that someone had been sat in a booth that sat five people as he was alone and it was dinner, but we waited. I saw that a woman came in and as I’d been here several times in the past, I knew that customers swoop in and just take tables as soon as they’ve been cleaned, so as soon as the couple left, we sat. I must reiterate that I had been told we could sit at a table and wait for a booth. The busboy came by and told me in a very rude voice to “wait behind the sign ma’am.” I told him that we were told we could get this booth and we could wait at a table. The busboy violently moved the table back and forth while he sprayed his cleaner all over the booth and didn’t dry it. I had to ask him to dry it after I sat on my suede coat on the wet booth. Then he proceeded to tell me that we were told to stay behind the sign until the table was ready. No we weren’t. We were told to sit at a table and wait and I was afraid the booth would be taken by the single customer coming in. The waiter came and had this big story all of a sudden that we had an agreement that I’d wait until the table was clean, I’m not sure what that was about. I then told him that the busboy didn’t need to be rude. He continued to argue with me instead of simply apologizing for the busboy’s behavior. I will never go to Lakes Lounge again. I am 58 years old and don’t have time for disrespectful people. There are plenty of other places to...
Read moreIf you want to escape the bright sun and heat while treating yourself to some good ol’ American comfort foods then Lakes Lounge is perfect for you! This is a darkly lit, small, cozy diner with an all American comfort food menu. There aren’t many tables so you may have a short wait but there was one available when we went so we did get seated immediately & I noticed throughout our visit that the turn over was pretty quick. Our food came out fast, myself just having my normal plain side salad with no dressing. I should note medically my diet restrictions are no meat, no dairy, gluten-free, low-sodium & low sugar… so you wld think it’s impossible for me to go out to eat but I figured out a way too because I’ve always loved the experience of different restaurants. So the downfall on my simple side salad was that I asked for romaine lettuce instead of iceberg and they brought Iceberg and also the menu states that it comes with cucumbers (I also specifically said “with cucumbers” when I ordered) and my salad had no cucumbers. I did say “no croutons” and they got that right. So maybe don’t try to modify something so simple there but I didn’t mind, I added my tofu & berries that I brought from home and it was great. My fiancé though is the true food critic. He’s obsessed with finding the best steak n eggs for the price around us and so far this was his favorite! He said it tasted good, was perfectly cooked (med-rare) and his portion was slightly larger than his prior favorite at Mad Maddies down the street and the price was lower at 10.99 compared to their 14.99. All and all we enjoyed ourselves, we were satisfied and we will be revisiting! Updated: We did revisit and our service and food was great! This time my fiancé got their Fish n Chips and was very satisfied and I finally got the...
