My longer review appears missing. I have been an avid massage girl my entire adult life. Usually try out the minimum the first visit just to see what the massage is like. Today I had the most odd massage ever. First it simply felt like she was rubbing me rather than massaging. She left the room for about five minutes without explanation. When she finally began doing my back I was happy she was now using pressure. Problem was she was moving so rapidly and her elbow go right over my vertebrae more than once. Not good and actually can be dangerous. I would not have written any review had it not been for the aftermath. I get dressed and walk out to have the receptionist ask me how much I was giving the therapist who was standing next to her. She made me pay for the massage before the service and yes I would leave a tip, but not a large one as I didn't feel it was deserved. I told the woman to do 20% and she looked at me as if I was stupid. I did the math and said, "$13". The receptionist said, "She worked hard. You have to give what is here." as she pointed to their tip guide. Per their guide I would have to give her $15. At this point I just wanted out if the place so I said ok. She said very rudely, "I need your card". When I looked at the payment on the screen it said $18 so I questioned it. Her response was there's a $3 service charge. I was going to argue it as they charged me that $3 upon my intial payment prior to the massage, but dayum if I was going to get my pressure up as my intention of stopping at this place was to relax on my one day off.
In reading these reviews and the response from the owner stating that he appreciates the honesty so he can make adjustments to how they work, but seems to be simply not true as many have said the same thing about what I experienced today. Now I wish I didn't leave anything more than a dollar. Tips are not owed to anyone. They are earned. Will never return nor would I suggest this rip off place to anyone. Lacking in...
Read more5 Star massage! I visited this massage place based on an ad I saw while driving past. Luckily I didn’t check the reviews because I had a great experience for a great price! My masseuse did a great job with the perfect amount of pressure and time. I literally wanted to go back the next day! I was surprised to see all the bad reviews on here. Going back tomorrow hopefully I have the same masseuse and quality care 🙌🏾
Update: I lowered it from 5 stars to 3 stars! I decided to treat my mom to a massage here. I wanted the same masseuse but he was busy so I tried someone new. She did a wonderful job. They both did really. Unfortunately I did have to remove a star because as everyone else mentioned they are very tacky when it comes to tipping. Upon exiting the massage we were greeted with bottles of water. The woman at the counter says “should I put the tip on your card?” I said that’s fine. She asked how much.. I said 10 each, so $20. She responds, “it was a 90 min massage” I responded yes i’m aware. She responds, “didn’t it feel good?” I responded yes it was great however that’s all I have. She said something to the two masseuse in another language and they rolled their eyes and walked off. Keep in mind this is my second visit and due to chronic pain I was cconsiderin making this my weekly spot. Now i’ll have to reconsider because that pressure makes me very uncomfortable. I wanted to take the whole tip...
Read moreOkay so first of all, the massage itself was splendid I've been here twice and both times the massages were great, HOWEVER: Both times I had problems with checkout. First time the massage and tip were fully paid for ahead of time as a gift and I was told it was mandatory I leave a tip when I left even though it was already paid. Second time was today when I left I noticed I had only $7 in my wallet. When I presented it to her apologizing for being a few dollars short of their "expected" tip, I was told it was not enough and I would need to leave a tip on my card (which comes with an additional $1 fee). By the time I finished paying a $10 on the card, the massage therapist who had taken my cash was already gone with my cash. I will not be going here again as I'm treated very poorly for "only" offering a tip less than $20. My advice to the manager: if a fee is mandatory, it is not a tip. Add the fee to the price of the massage. Don't advertise cheap massages and then mandate tips it's very bad practice. A tip is up to the customer, it is optional, and you should be thankful when you receive it because it's supposed to be EXTRA on top of the money they make. I rather pay $60 for a massage and leave them a $5-$10 tip than a $40 (sorry corrected from $45) with a mandatory $10 tip and expected $20. Attached: "expected (mandatory) tips" listed at...
