I rarely take the time to write a review but I thought this place deserved every star I gave. I have family in town visiting from Atlanta in celebration of birthdays. Thai was mentioned, and I didnt really know of a place that had impressed me in Vegas, or did I have thw budget for anything to expensive so I took a chance on google. I spent some time reading reviews on different places. The King & I stood out to me so I gave it a shot. Our dinner plans were very last minute. The lakes right behind the restraunt had a nice view that my family really enjoyed. The place is small and cozy, but they easily accomadated my family of 10, which included 6kids. So it was family friendly, and the kids loved the little fish tank they had. The plates were very well proportioned and everyone had more than enough to eat, and they even nicely boxed up our leftovers for us(its the little things that make the experience more enjoyable). The food was well priced, our drinks were always filled, and the food was delicious. I snuck in a cake and they were great about taking care of it and bringing it out for us with candles lit and everything. Im impressed how they accomadated us without any pre notice and without any plan. They made my familys experince enjoyable and my cousin even asked me to make sure to remember it for next time she comes to town. I will be recomending to friends and definatly be...
Read moreI ordered delivery from this Thai restaurant via Yelp, wanting to try a new thai food restaurant. I am very accustomed to Thai food and I know what I like, and know what to expect. Along with my Pad See Ewe, I ordered a side of mango sticky rice for dessert, and all they sent me was plain rice. So I called the restaurant directly, to inform them, I told the woman that answered the phone what had occurred, to which she said the order was only for sticky rice. I informed her it was mango sticky rice, as it even showed on the image online. She then passed to her manager, I explained once more. She stated I should have noted in the comments "mango." Why would I do that when it is noted otherwise? I brought up the idea of why would I order $3 plain rice when I could just make that on my own at home. To which she began to say something but cut herself off immediately. She then just had the same conversation with me about next time I order to note mango. She did not want to rectify the situation what so ever, and even hung up on me. I never raised my voice, never used foul language, never told her what she should do, just informed her hoping she would be a good business representative and correct the error. Instead I got hung up on. I will never order from them again, and advise others that there are plenty of wonder thai places...
Read moreThis is my second visit to this restaurant, and unfortunately, I've had to remove some stars.
An honest question for the chef: Why do you offer a non-spicy option if you're going to make it spicy anyway?
I understand this is a Thai restaurant, but I've been to countless Thai restaurants in Las Vegas that serve 0% spicy if you ask them to make it that way. I also understand that every business is free to offer their product with the characteristics they consider appropriate. However, if you're going to offer 0% spicy and then serve it medium-high spicy anyways, you're lying to your customers and serving them something they didn't order.
My husband likes spicy food, and even he said you guys are not doing it right. The first time we visited, he ordered medium spicy but got a super high spicy level and could barely eat it. On our second visit, we both ordered no spicy at all and still received medium-high spicy food. Two visits, same issue.
I've read other negative reviews about this exact problem. While I understand that spice levels can sometimes be confusing, adding any spicy in a dish when a customer specifically asked for none? Very hard to get that wrong in my opinion.
For those who don't want spicy food, AVOID this place. We won't be...
