My family and I wanted to support a small business today....we chose The Meat Co. First thing ..I thought they serve you with menus so we waitwd 10 minutes before we were like wait a minute. So you have to go to the counter. We ordered a abundance of food. We waited 35 minutes...we started eating our dessert..You can order meat ala carte. So I ordered 3 ribs which were okay. The chicken wings are well seasoned and great! They had too much smoke flavor for me , but my kid and husband loved it. (Ribs)(My son doesnt eat ribs) my sides werent good. I had greens (over cooked with WAY TOO MUCH water and not enough seasoning). The mac and cheese wasnt creamy. It was clumpy and warmed up. The baked beans were highly recommended and we (none of us) cared for them. Spicy and full of hamburger. Now the awesomeness....THE BROKE BOY IS DELICIOUS!!! GET IT! TRUST ME! The burger is huge and delicious. The desserts are great. Sweet potato pie, pecan pie and cake.. was great! There was alot not available that was on the already limited menu. I.e peach cobbler...which was definately a buzz kill. The kool aid is way too sweet. But one is enough for 2 ppl. We had to clean our own table. (We were asked) ....i think this would really prosper with the staff waiting on the guest. Cut down on the sugar and add to the flavor...over all Im glad i came....at least i can say i tired it...tyMy 3 meals cost 54 dollars .With 3 drinks. Wish my sides...
Read moreI have no clue why this place would be on Uber eats, this looks like it came out somebody’s house. The Mac and cheese was dry and obviously fake, the yams where canned cooked in nasty sweet syrup. This is not southern max and cheese or yams. The yams didn’t even have brown sugar. The brisket obviously was over cooked, not seasoned at all, and dry. They put it in bbq sauce to tender it up and hide it. The hotlink was at least a real link but it was grilled instead of low and slow cooking it to bring out the flavor. The catfish, well it was fried hard which is fine and it had salt on it at least. Although one piece had a huge vein my wife pulled out of it. The price I paid for some dry, super small portion, unseasoned, cooked in my house style food is just nutzs. John Maul’s is just the best place to go. Thought I would try something new, but man this is bad. I’m never going back or suggesting this...
