Captain Sam's Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Las Vegas

I tried Huncho's for the first time about a month ago and they will continue to be the best budget friendly option for good fried chicken and fish, but if you have the flow to shell out a bit more for your seafood, with a variety of choices like oysters, scallops, and JUMBO shrimp (they have regular shrimp too), catfish or whiting, then Captain Sam's is the way to go.

The quality of food is definitely a full level up, and worth the price. At first I cringed at my 14 piece jumbo shrimp order, with tax 26 dollars, but the weren't lying. Perfectly breaded, perfectly cooked, and perfectly jumbo. I had 6 shrimp for lunch and 8 for dinner. I called in and my food was ready in 10 minutes flat. Hot sauce definitely seems in house made. I kept what I didn't use to dash on other food.

Everyone working there was friendly, engaging, and smiling even though they were busy. Kitchen runs smooth like a well oiled machine.

My only complaint: I did not get extra fries instead of coleslaw nor did I receive bread with my order. But maybe they did me a favor by not filling me up with empty carbs. No biggie definitely not enough to dock a star. Also they are definitely light on the seasoning, if they use any at all, which may be intentional and good for the majority of customers, but I like my breaded seafood to have a bit of zest. Who would have known that Captain Sam’s Fish and Chicken is located inside of a convenience store on Charleston & Rainbow. Take out only, no dining inside available. There are chairs near the entrance to sit while waiting for your food order. The Convenience store was cool, I liked the music playing, the owner of the store and the staff at Captain Sam’s were cool too.

I love me some Fried Catfish, especially when it’s Catfish fillets. I was surprised by how many specials were on their menu at reasonable prices. They have Fish Combos, Chicken and Wing Dinners, Fish and Shrimp Dinners, Side Orders, etc. I like the variety of fried seafood available on the menu.

Whole chicken wings, fried like you at somebody house- Always on point EVERYTIME . I been visiting here every other day for almost a month. CONSISTENT, QUALITY SERVICE❣️

Catfish is tasty as well, can be a lil greasy at times but STILL BOMB, especially on that slice of white bread you get with each order.

AND my coworker pointed out that the reason, Captain's LEMON PEPPER SEASONING is DELISH is because it's a powder, not too pungent or overbearing like them other "folks" with the overpriced wingettes, VERY VERY IMPRESSED.
