Read moreToo long/ didn’t read: longer than expected wait, most disgusting fry i’ve ever had in my life (super salty/soft). Burger was mediocre and also salty. It was a busy night and I’m suspecting the workers are cutting corners by cooking some of the fries on the toaster instead of in the deep fryer.
Let me start off saying I love burgers. Compare to where I am from (Canada), Las Vegas offers a much greater/better selection.
First off, the wait was much longer than I expected, as it took me 7-8 minutes to get my double double + fry + drink from the point of payment. No worries I thought, as long as the food taste good. The joint was quite busy so I’ll give them that.
It was not until I got my first bite of my fries where my jaws just dropped. What the heck... the texture was just not fried! It tasted like it baked in an oven (or air fryer said my wife). The second thing I noticed was it was so salty (felt like someone just dumped the shaker on it).
By the way, I started eating 2 minutes after I picked up the order, not 20 minutes. In addition, before I received the order, I saw some employees placing fries through the toaster (I thought to myself what an unconventional way for making fries). So here is what I am suspecting: the store is busy and the fryers are getting overwhelmed, so the employees are using the toasters on the fries on some unlucky customers, and I happened to be one of them.
The burger itself was okay, also a bit salty, but at least edible. I ended up throwing 3/4 of the fries away after letting my family try it and...
Read moreI have been a patron of In-n-Out since 1989 when I was Stationed in SoCal. In over 30 years of being a customer, this has to be the first time I was ever disappointed in my service or order.
I would chalk it up to ‘New Employee Syndrome’ that my order was incorrect but this does not fly at In-n-Out because their training is well above par so I am unable to explain what happened here.. Millennialism perhaps?
The employee at the pickup counter did try to correct it immediately and told the back staff that she needed two Animal Style Fries so I took mine and my granddaughter’s lunch to the table. After having eaten 80% of my Burger, I had to ask them what the holdup was on my Animal Style Fries which was a ‘Deer in headlights’ moment for them as the other employee had to remind them that she DID request they make the two orders of Animal Style Fries.
Well, we got our correct order well after our Burgers were eaten which I have never eaten Benihana style at In-n-Out before so there, another 1st!! Maybe this location in Centennial is looking to steer away from what’s worked for decades and try a new dining model??
And I’m sure food and waste costs are not of concern...
