Food: Appetizers (crab rangoon and fresh spring rolls with BBQ pork) These were great. Loved both. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls was pretty standard and needed to add spice but good for vanilla taste buds. Dinner (street style chow main and tom yum prawn soup) (spice level 1-5) I ordered a spice level 3 for chow mein and partner ordered a spice level 4 for soup. The soup was not spicy at all, the chow main was very spicy. I would rate the chow being spice level a 4-5 and the soup a 1 or 2 max. Flavor was delicious though. The appetizers and entrees came out 1 at a time. This is fine for appetizers, as we could work through 1 and then get to the other. Odd though, considering one needed no cooking and the one that did came out first? The entrees coming out separately for a 2 to table, though, is very odd. Usually the kitchen accounts for varied cooking times to make sure both entrees are served at the same time.
Service: The service was ok. We had to ask for the spice tray, which is atypical for a thai restaurant. Once they dropped the food off, they pretty much forgot about us. We had to call them to get boxes. And then we had to call them to get our check. You would think that asking for boxes means we're finished?
Ambiance: The dining area is mostly fine. The tables are and seating are nice. Interesting choices: 1: they had their clean plates and table settings out in the dining room. 2: These were literally right next to the dirty dishes bussing station. Again, out in the dining room. 3: Both of these were right next to the door to the kitchen. The bussing station was closest to that door.
Bathrooms: Men's bathroom was fine, but women's toilet handle doesn't work and there's a sign that says "Lift Up" taped to the tank. In order to flash that toilet, you literally need to lift and move the tank lid and lift the rod/chain inside it.... This is not only just janky and at least somewhat unsanitary, but also hazardous. I pinched my finger pretty good while trying to put the...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional restaurant, and it was truly a delight from start to finish. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and beautifully set up for an enjoyable meal. We are actually not from the area, we just had to pick up by the area and thought of having a dinner.
To start, we ordered the fresh veggie rolls, which were a perfect appetizer—crisp, refreshing, and paired with a flavorful dipping peanut sauce that elevated every bite. For our main dishes, we chose the Pad Thai with shrimp and Tom Kha soup with chicken. The Pad Thai was nothing short of perfection—perfectly cooked noodles, plump shrimp, and a delicate balance of sweet and tangy flavors topped with crunchy peanuts. The Tom Kha soup was equally impressive, with its creamy coconut broth, tender chicken, and fragrant herbs—it felt like a comforting hug in a bowl.
For dessert, we opted for the tempura ice cream, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. The crispy exterior contrasted beautifully with the smooth, cold ice cream inside, all plated with a drizzle of chocolate that added a touch of decadence.
The service was absolutely top-notch. The staff were attentive, friendly, and ensured we felt well taken care of throughout our meal. Their knowledge of the menu and genuine hospitality made our experience even better.
Overall, this restaurant has earned a special spot in our hearts. Whether you're in the mood for comforting Thai classics or a great dining atmosphere, this is the place to be. Highly...
Read moreUPDATE: apparently the server i ordered from was not familiar with the menu. the brown rice is actually only $1 dollar more. the manager was nice enough to refund me for the rice and curry. I changed my review to 3 stars due to a responsive manager. might try again, hope to get more actual veggies in the curry.
we eat out a lot, been here about 6 or 7 times. did a take out order the other day. we both prefer brown rice to avoid getting diabetes, (white rice is fairly unhealthy) so they told me it was 4$ per meal to sub brown rice for white rice. pretty ridiculous. i get home and open up the little white box with rice in it and the brown rice is jammed inside but wrapped in plastic? weird. it's like it was made days before and stored somewhere, then heated up in a microwave and stuffed in the box. so not freshly made and also less of a portion than the white rice. also, the green curry is basically green water with hardly any vegetables. so just saying, $4 to sub brown rice is a rip-off and the curry isn't that good. it's like $1.25 worth of food for $20. not going back. a 50lb bag of brown rice costs hardly anymore than white rice. the thai place over on alta and buffalo...
