Most disappointing restaurant experience of 2024.
We decided to celebrate mom at Moo Woo, and we left wishing we had gone to the place next door.
As soon as we walk in, the waitress seemed bothered, like she had been having a bad day or as if it was busy. Usually I empathize with people like this, but the problem is that it wasn’t even busy. According to other reviews, this is just how she is I suppose. This attitude carried all throughout the night, and I got fed up.
Being a Korean BBQ, we were expecting it to be all you can eat like most other Korean BBQ spots, but Moo Woo for whatever reason is not. Not only that, the menu was confusing. You choose either the “moo”, “woo”, or “moo woo” combos, or you can get a la cart for like triple the price of the individual items? Made no sense. And the waitress didn’t care to explain, and just kind of expected us to know what we wanted. To her, they’re “known” for their combos. Well, we didn’t even know anything about the place until we walked in.
On top of that, we felt rushed. Not really feeling like we were being given the time to really figure out the mess of the menu, we decided to get the Moo Combo for 3-4.
This leads me to the food. The portion was extremely underwhelming. The rib eye is literally for 1, there were just a few pieces of chicken, and the prime brisket was rather insulting, then they pack the rest of it with pork belly. I honestly thought we got the “2-3” instead of the “3-4” portion. After realizing the joke of a portion we were given, I decided to eat just a little and let my family have the rest. Needless to say, I was extremely upset at how little food we were given.
The taste is just okay. The only thing they seasoned was the chicken which wasn’t bad, but the rest of it had literally no seasoning at all. Not even salt and pepper. Some reviewers have experienced the opposite which leads me to believe this place is just inconsistent across the board.
To further disrespect, the waitress tacked on an extra $20 “service charge” because we had our 3 year old, 4 year old, and 10 month old with us. Like really?
For a restaurant to be this empty on a Mother’s Day was already a red flag, and we can see why it was empty after the experience we had. Poor service, sub par food, and small portions is every customer’s worst nightmare when they walk into a new restaurant. It’s unfortunate to experience all 3 but by far, the waitress was the worst of the experiences
Las Vegas offers many Korean BBQ choices, so unless Moo Woo gets a new waitress and offers all you can eat, my advice is go...
Read moreWe (a party of 4) got to the restaurant at about 8:45ish pm. My wife and I were bringing some family from out of state to Moo Woo after having a great experience there previously.
From the very beginning the experience this time around was not the same as the time previously enjoyed by my wife and I. Our party was seated with little to no conversation from Lito, our waiter. Once seated there was no interaction as far as “Welcome in, is this your first time? My name is so-and-so and I’ll be your waiter tonight” we were asked what we wanted to drink while Lito dumped majority of the water for the table to drink into the grill, saying something along the lines of “if we don’t do this then there’s going to be a lot of smoke”. This wasn’t standard procedure the last time we came. We were then left alone with the half used-looking grill on the flames while he got our meal started, Lito brings out a ribeye on a plate with tongs and slaps the steak on the grill, minutes later saying after the steak is cooked I’ll change the grill grate. I asked well if the grate needs to be changed now can we change it now? Which was declined by Lito, saying he would change it after the steak was cooked. If the grate was needing to be changed before we sat down then cooking one last steak on it doesn’t change how much it needs to be changed… as the meal progressed Lito was inattentive and argumentative. The flame on our grill had went out and my wife asked him to reignite the flame and added that the flame was too hot/high to which he mumbled (I’m sure what he thought was quietly) “no it’s not”.
Overall the experience was ruined due to the service Lito FAILED to provide. Our appetites were ruined so much to the point that we cooked the remaining meat and left. Unfortunately, this experience is enough for me and my family...
Read moreVery disappointed with my last and final experience here today. Came in on a Saturday at 4pm. All the booths (around 11 of them) were empty and there were three groups seated in chairs. Because of my medical issues, I asked if I could sit in a booth as the chairs are very painful on my back. The waitress refused and said those are reserved for large parties on the weekend. If it was packed and dinner time, maybe I’d get it, but that is where it started. The customer service has gone down hill. Both the young woman and man were not friendly at all and not attentive to anyone. Our side dishes arrived as well as the meat. We waited over twenty minutes until I was able to ask for some rice for rice so we could start eating, by then all the meat was cold. The meat was very mediocre, cheap cuts, and very fatty. I asked for some lettuce and was given a bowl of stems… like the innermost chunk of lettuce that is not used for lettuce wraps. Then the women comes and delivers more meat and begins to place the meat on the grill. It felt very rushed and timed of when and how I could cook my meat. I let her know I could do it myself and she seemed very annoyed by this. Isn’t the point of Korean bbq to be able to socialize and eat your meat on your own terms? The sides were very salty and flat tasting. I had to track down the waitress as her and the cook were too busy watching tv. I then asked for some lettuce leaves and was brought another bowl of stems. Both employees never once came to check on us and see if we needed anything, just a terrible experience. There are so many great Korean restaurants in Vegas, and this is not...
