The kids, my husband and myself visited Letecia’s, after we took home first place in aVegas wrestling tournament. We decided to eat here specifically because it was in our hotel and also because we are huge Mexican food fans and I’m always trying items to duplicate and home and make for my kids, as I love to cook. We came upon Letecia’s which we did have to wait a bit for a table with a server. They did have multiple tables that were open, but I guess no one was manning those tables, so we had to sit and wait. Regardless, the restaurant was nicely decorated and the service were friendly and attentive even though they put us in an empty room they didn’t forget we were there. We sat down order ourselves drinks and they brought us chips and salsa, which is always my favorite part of eating at a Mexican restaurant the pre-snack before the wave over food comes and then your in a food coma. The chips were warm when received, which is always a nice touch and the salsa was hot, but not too uncomfortable. I have to watch myself with those chips though, as the crispness and salty snaps of the chip indulge your senses. Anyways, enough about the chips. I had the chicken taco salad along with most of my kids. Taco salads are so great and the best part is that crispy bowl you can use to scoop delicious portions of salad and your fixing on. Most people don’t understand the taco salad obsession, but if you try it you’ll be surprised it is quite satisfying. I did give this restaurant a 4 because my husband’s food, which I tried to wasn’t as good as I would expected in a Vegas restaurant. He got the Diablo shrimp, which is spicy but has a great taste to it. The shrimp wrapped in bacon and then in the bowl is the Diablo sauce which the set the shrimp in. Along the shrimp would have been good, but with the sauce it had a sour taste to it. Other than that it wasn’t horrible I’m sure if we didn’t visit again my husband will definitely try...
Read moreMy friends and I went to try this place for one of their birthdays. First off, we called ahead to ask the wait time we were told there was no wait time, but we asked to make a reservation ahead just in case. The host told us they weren’t taking any and wouldn’t let us make one we said ok since we were pulling into the parking lot anyways. We arrive and the host tells us its all of a sudden a 35minute wait after just saying there was no wait even though we told her there was 6 of us and tried to make a reservation. We then get sat at a dirty table that still had crumbs all over it. We waited a few minutes til we finally got greeted and our orders were taken. We ordered a couple drinks the margaritas were ok micheladas weren’t that great barely any flavor or seasoning to it tasted watered down. The food took forever almost an hour and it wasn’t even that busy looking. When the food finally came out after we were starving it was luke warm, but everyone was tired of waiting we just ate it. The street tacos were so dry my carne asada looked so dry like it had been sitting under a heat lamp waiting forever but wasn’t even warm. Same with my other friends who ordered the same tacos. The enchiladas were super tiny you get two pieces and not even a full size. The flavors were good, but over all was worn down by how long it took, how food wasn’t even fresh, portion size, etc. The only thing we truly enjoyed were the chips and salsas they gave at the start the bean dip was hot the chips were fresh. To be honest I was fairly disappointed because it looked like a great place, lots of food options and choices the food didn’t taste too bad but the overall service just...
Read moreWent in for dinner tonight with the family and our whirlwind of a granddaughter. We have been wanting to eat here for awhile now and I have to say that it was definitely worth the wait!. Our evening started off with complimentary chips & salsa and I have to give a nice compliment about the salsa, it's got the perfect amount of spice and heat. The other is a refried bean dip and it's got a great traditional taste of pork fat in it, yes folks most refried beans are made with (real pork fat or lard).. Anyway. When it comes to dinner, I ordered a ground beef chimichanga with red sauce. My wife ordered a shredded chicken chimichanga and both come with refried beans and rice on the side! My mother in law ordered the cheese enchiladas with a red sauce and refried beans on the side and then the sampling of each other's meals began. The cheese enchiladas in that red sauce is so good that it truly gives you an authentic taste of Mexico from beginning to end. The Beef and the chicken chimichanga's had the perfect amount of seasoned meat wrapped up in a deep fried tortilla and you can either have it topped with sauce or not, I recommend having it covered and customizing the chimichanga. What I mean by customizing is, you can basically build your own burrito and/or chimichanga with everything you love being stuffed inside, deep fried and then covered in a delicious red sauce.. Oh my goodness I want another one right now!! Okay, back to the food 🥑. The refried beans and rice were both really good but the only downside to that was the portions. We all just wished the portions of the refried beans and rice were a bit more, but other than that dinner...
