Let me preface this with the fact that I go out to eat daily and Mexican restaurants are my favorite. I can't get over how bad the service & atmosphere was here. I had the birria de chivo which was decent. My brother had the carne asada, he liked it. The pricing was out of this world. They should really consider a lunch menu with lunch hour pricing.
You order a sprite and they have you a 300mL bottle (it's like half a normal sized bottle). They still charge you $4.50 for it.
The kind of restaurant I love doesn't have to be the cheapest. But if you're going to charge above what typical sit down Mexican restaurants charge and provide inferior service, this is where I draw the line. There were 2 tables seated when my brother and I arrived. We were seated right away. By the time we left there were a total of 4 or 5 tables seated. They were not overwhelmed with service to do. But they were silent on service - never offered to provide another basket of chips. Never offered another soda bottle. Nada. Very sad service here.
It took them awhile to recognize we were done eating. Again, the food quality was fine - at par with certain other sit downs I've been to. But the service was awful.
I makes no sense to use 300 mL bottled sodas instead of fountain drinks at a restaurant like this. You get way less value there for your customers and your servers never asked if I wanted another bottle (would have gladly paid, I...
Read moreUnfortunately this place was an overall disappointment. We walked into excessively loud music. When I say loud, I felt I was a music concert loud. After the loud music sounds, a Tri-Band live band came around the table asking to play music of your choice. After the original loud music, the live band wasn't welcoming either. We actually wanted to carry a conversation without yelling to each other. Let's get to the next underwhelming part, the food. The food is definitely not seasoned. I was searching for the salt and asked for extra peppers because everything tasted bland. We ordered Queso Fundido as a starter. Could not say it was worth it. Tortillas are microwaved Luke warm and the cheese had a distaste and odd flavor. Our plates were Chile Relleno and Surf/Turf plate. Side dishes were not edible. Chile Relleno was bland and would have wish for the food to be hot. Surf/Turf shrimps were rubber hard, tasteless and definitely not fresh.... Steak was rubber hard and unseasoned. Was truly like chewing thru rubber soles. Soft drinks were canned, not an issue but waiter too way too long to help assist. I will say the Horchata was the delightful taste. Unfortunately I don't believe this place is worth the value. The food and waiting times definitely need a turnaround. For $40 average per person, I would recommend somewhere else. I do hope all the best for this...
Read moreThis restaurant seem to be a very good restaurant when we first got there and started to see our menu. They took a really long to get our order and they took longer to bring our food. This did not bother us as we are used to and we don’t mind waiting for good food. They had a food and first when looking at the menu we thought it was gonna be really good food. We ordered Menudo, and when they brought it to us, it smelled from far away. The smell was very strong, and it did not smell good. We also ordered tamales, and they were not good at all. They were super dry and not good. When the lady went up to us and asked if we wanted our bill or if we wanted a box. I went ahead and explained that the Menudo was not good, and that the smell was really strong. She went ahead and seem very unbothered by my comment and knowing that we had not ate because our plates were full she just went ahead and said that she knew and that that’s just How they made the Menudo. I did tell her that that smell was not a normal smell for Menudo, but she just went ahead and brought us our bill and charged us for that Menudo that we didn’t even touch. We will not be here again, as a service is horrible and they’re very uncaring about our their customers and...
