I want to start by saying the space looks great and two staff members were genuinely kind and professional. This is not meant as a bitter hit piece. That said, my experience was very poor overall.
When we arrived, my girlfriend was told in a curt way that we had to pay for items as we ordered them, even though the place looks like a sit down restaurant. She asked if we could be seated first. At the table, the hostess repeated that they are trying a new concept where guests pay at the counter for each item as they go. No server would take the full order.
I said I wanted to leave because that concept defeats the purpose of a sit down meal, especially at these prices. Just then a waitress approached and offered to take our order at the table after seeing we were unhappy. She brought me a coffee, then asked us to pay for it before ordering food. For a breakfast sandwich, an omelet, one coffee, and one soda, the total quoted was nearly sixty five dollars.
Payment was another issue. We asked about Google Pay and were told yes. When I tried to pay, we were told they only accept Apple Pay. I did not have my wallet because I had just had a medical procedure next door, so I offered to Zelle my girlfriend for the coffee. The waitress kindly comped the coffee, which I appreciated, and we left.
I did not try the food. It looked good, and the room is attractive. The prices are extremely high. That may be fine for some diners, but the combination of pay at the counter for each item, inconsistent communication about how to order, and limited payment options made the experience frustrating and unwelcoming. Given the tone of the first interaction with my girlfriend, I also cannot rule out that bias played a part, which is particularly disappointing.
I will not be back. If you do not mind paying as you go, walking to the counter for each item, and spending what I consider a lot for breakfast, this place may work for you. For me, it is a two star experience, saved from one star only by the kindness of the hostess who seated us and the server who...
Read moreI don't have any criticism for this place.. There was a new girl being trained and had to ask for clarification about a menu item I was curious about, and that's the absolute worst thing I can say about this place. I can go on & on about the food being blatantly obvious high quality ingredients and the glaringly apparent pride that's put into the preparation of the food, but let me put it this way: You know how everything is just a little off these days? Like, no matter what it is, you remember it being better back in the day, right? Well, that's a bigger criticism for our society in general that speaks to a general laziness and a lack of pride or investment into a product or business, like why should I put all my effort into this when it's all falling apart around me and this country might not even exist in a few years? I get it and understand the situation but this place is still hungry and striving to build a name for itself, even tho it's already well-established as a state of the art gem here in this city.. The staff and the owner obviously has a sense of pride and integrity that shows through his perfection in the food and genuinely personable experience he's putting out there for the lucky ones who find this place and give it a shot.. Wow, man, it's like a throwback to the good ol days when businesses cared about their product and their image, how they're viewed by the public. Amazing and easy 5 out of 5 stars all day long. EDIT: 04/27/24 Came back here to find the guy remembers me from last time and just as pleasant as an experience as last time.. Will return every opportunity becatse I just don't find this level of quality put into every single aspect of the entire experience as a whole, but especially the food, just waaaay above and beyond and still cannot find any criticism for the little hidden gem over here...
Read moreChefs kiss!!!!! Came for brunch on a Saturday morning and had no issues getting a table for a party of three. They let us choose our own table, and a server brought us water and the menu. Once you are ready to order, you go to the counter and after they take your order and you pay, your menu will be replaced with a number stand which you bring back with you to your table.
We ordered the mimosa sampler, strawberry matcha milk tea, vanilla almond milk latte, bulgogi eggs benedict, smoke salmon eggs benedict, and bacon pancake stack. Everything was amazinggggg!!!! So flavorful and delicious!!! We did not expect the pancake stack to be that big, but we ate every single bite! The bulgogi was seasoned perfectly, and every bite had so much flavor. It was beyond incredible!!!! It had to be my favorite, and the eggs were perfectly cooked!
We also love the decor and cute photo ops this place has to offer. One of my favorite things I noticed was the staff. They really do work as a team, and you can tell they enjoy working with one another. We did not have one designated server so each person helped us whenever he/she was free. I liked that a lot because it shows that they know how to cooperate amongst each other without having their customers waiting. The owner did a fantastic job with the hiring and training process because everyone displayed exceptional work ethic. Overall, I had a very delightful experience for my first time at Bespoke and definitely plan to return and recommend to others!!! Great job on the ambiance, creating an awesome work environment and team, and cooking yummy food and incorporating their corresponding beautiful presentations!!! Wish I could...
