Probably the worst experience I've have at this location. I'm not sure what happened to this restaurant, it used to be so great and now it's horrible all around. Before even getting served, the waitress wiped down the table with a very dirty and smelly towel. It smelled so bad, we had to move tables. The food has seriously lost its quality and the service was unacceptable. DO NO GET SERVED BY BRENDA. She got several things wrong with my order including giving my mother a pupusa filled with pork (my mother cannot eat pork) when she had asked for beans and cheese. Then at checkout, tried to charge us for the pork pupusa (that my mother only took one bite of and threw it up anyway) and then when my mother asked for a specific amount to be charged on a card and the rest in cash, brenda charged what she wanted on the card anyway and gave the cash back to us. She then proceeded to say that she has been more than generous by not charging us for the pupusa my mother didn't eat and that she gave us the change so she didn't see the problem. Then when we were getting food to go, she refused to give us any utensils (which have always come with to go food from this location) and gave us exactly ONE napkin (no exaggeration). Not in the bag I might add, she tried to hand us exactly ONE crumpled up napkin. I'm completely done with this place and it's really quite sad because it used to...

Read moreI am very upset with the customer service at San Salvador on Maryland parkway! I clearly ordered 12 bean pupusas and waited over 30 minutes for our meal last night. My fiance and I drove 20 minutes home and took a few bites before realizing we we're eating pork meat. We are vegetarian.. I called immediately to get a refund or replacement and they put me on hold for over 30 minutes with restaurant noise in the background. I called again today as I was on my way past. They put me on hold and walked away yet again.. 15 minutes later I was walked into the shop and the waitress had me wait again saying there was no manager or supervisor or number to call. She claimed I called the wrong number but I checked their business card and website while I was there still on the phone..
The waitress today said I had to call the same day or they won't help me. I did call last night.. Then, after another wait, she said if I had the pupusas, she would replace them. But only if I had all 12....... I had 10 of them and two that were ripped open..
BE WARNED!
I am not the first paying customer to receive the wrong food and bad service when simply trying to correct their mistake. I am SURE I won't be the last unless a...
