I had my wedding reception here a few weeks ago. Irene was absolutely awesome and super accommodating and helpful. Food was delicious and venue was beautiful and professional. The older gentleman, I’m assuming was the owner, was a repeated issue throughout the night. We, the bride and groom who paid $4000+ for a reception here for the hours of 7pm-12am, had an issue after the ceremony where we got stranded after we were taking pictures following the ceremony because our friends and family were holding both of our phones. We got to the reception at around 9pm (still with 3 hours of paid and reserved time), and the older gentleman was harassing my mother-in-law as soon as we arrived telling her we needed to hurry up and eat so they could clear our plates. He was also shooing our 5 year old nephew off the stage for dancing when he was not doing anything wrong. The appropriate thing would have been to approach an adult nearby and politely let them know that maybe it was a safety issue if that was even the issue. We also had prepaid for 80 plates and only about 30 guests had showed up, and we heard the older gentleman was denying extra food for our brother-in-law because his “plate was too full”. I was unaware of these things until after the night had concluded because he did not say any of these things to us directly, and our family did not want to ruin the night for us, so they waited until after the fact to tell us.
