Horrible hostess. We got there for dinner a family of 3. 5 employees stood at the podium and none of them acknowledged us. Finally the one hostess tall blonde with double pony tail lift her head up and ask “you have reservation?” I said no. Then she gave us some paper menu and crayon and said if we don’t mind sitting outside. We don’t mind and walked out to find out the outside seating has limited menu. The hostess outside asked did they not ask if you want to make reservation? We said no. Then we went back in and told her the outside seating have limited menu. that double pony tail hostess said “oh I mean you guys can sit along here” *(pointing at the seating just outside the restaurant). We said down with our menu and crayon, then saw people got seated “inside” the restaurant and the waiter was already at their table taking orders. We got up and asked where is our waiter the hostess said “ oh those seats are not part of the restaurant”. Then we had to fish out an answer on how to make reservation since the online app was not accepting reservations. Then we told them we like to make reservation. She could of simply asked us “would you like to make a reservation?” To avoid all these confusion. Very bad experience and service. We would of been ok with a 30 minutes wait time if she has asked us for name and phone number for reservation. 5 employees stood at the podium and none of them asked us. Train your people right Barnwood. Never there again. ...
Read moreUgh. MAYBE 1.5 stars. We had dinner here last night and it was sub-par at best, especially for the cost. My kids got $10 cheeseburger kids meals, that claimed to come with fruit, vegetables, (and fries)... It came with I kid you not 2-3 little baby carrots, 2 tiny celery stalks, and 3-4 grapes in a "bowl" that was meant for when someone asks for their ketchup on the side. The burger itself was full of little gristly bits and the bun was soggy as if the whole thing had been microwaved together. FYI it comes with cheese and nothing else. No pickles, lettuce, tomato...nothing. The fries were fine. I had the lettuce wraps and they were awful. The lettuce was limp, the "pineapple corn slaw" was literally canned corn and pineapple mixed together, the pickled carrots had super old chopped cilantro mixed in and tasted off, and the chicken was swimming in a sweet chili sauce, all for $14. My husband got the $19 entree burger and fries and said it was fine but nothing exceptional. Our waitress never came back to refill our drinks (probably because we weren't drinking alcohol) or check to see how the food was. I get it that this is a restaurant within a water park, but really? Chilis or Applebee's would be 3x better and not as pricey, and I'm not a big fan of either of those places either. Do yourself a favor and just pick up a pizza from Costco, literally...
Read moreBoy we love this place. Nestled within the woods of Great Wolf Lodge you can’t beat this spot. It is perfect after a long day of fun with the kids in the waterslides. Lucky for us we have the luxury of leaving the littles with our teens so we get a couple hours of adult time! And hey, after the day of water slides and pool fun, they’re all knocking out anyway.
So, now for my recommendations. You absolutely HAVE to try the firecracker shrimp as an appetizer. Perfect crunch and the sauce is out of this world. My wife went for the steak frites which were great and I opted for the spicy chicken sandwich; super flavorful and the fries were great too.
Woody made us some awesome drinks too. I’ve never had a pineapple margarita with vodka and Jameson and a splash of blue caracauo but it was delish! Next up he did a coconut margarita with vodka and it was even better. His energy and enthusiasm was awesome and we really enjoyed our time! Thanks...
