Okay I know this is going to sound crazy. I have been here twice and only for ice cream. The ice cream itself is good, fairly standard (I believe it is Hershey brand). But both times when I've gone and gotten one scoop in a cone, the person scooping has just placed one scoop right on top of the cone, instead of filling the cone with ice cream and then putting a scoop on top. Now I know this sounds nitpicky but it is kind of sad eating the ice cream and then having a mostly empty cone, and I didn't realize until I saw the cone not being filled first that every ice cream place I've been to before scoops the ice cream a specific way. I think if I come here more and the scooping changes, I would give it 5 stars, because I am satisfied by the ice cream and their location is good!

I have not had any of their food, but I've seen they have these giant croissants which look really good! And I will definitely continue to come here for ice cream, since it is the only game in town (and I appreciate having an ice cream...

Gigi’s Ice Cream Shop is a hidden gem on Main Street in Laurel where the owner, Karelin, is serving up more than just ice cream. On our most recent visit, my wife and I enjoyed croissant breakfast sandwiches, iced coffee and horchata…and it did not disappoint! Our sandwiches were made to order and came with fresh fruit on the side. If you’re a fan of horchata, I highly recommend giving Gigi’s a try. We left satisfied and eager to return for another delicious treat. Karelin is friendly, providing great customer service and delicious food. With a variety of menu options to choose from, you are sure to find something that suits your appetite. Next on my list is a limited time seasonal treat, spiced up green mangoes.
