Waffle House — Restaurant in Laurinburg

Sister and I went there to get some to eat after attempting to call and getting the automated message saying that they were busy and taking care of dine in. We get there and staff is standing outside or inside just standing there. While dining in, staff was steady standing around or on their phones blasting loud music, along with dancing and making TikToks. Asked to substitute toast with a biscuit on a plate, wasn’t told they would charge for it. We got our ticket and they charged us for it, when asked what that charge was they then removed it, because the waitress was told to charge us for it since we got toast and a biscuit (they messed up and didn’t give us the biscuit to begin with) but was then told to remove it because it was a mistake on their end Forgot our waffle and we had to ask for it, again at that time it wasn’t busy. Absolute worst service! We went in to order to GO, and upon ordering, the "Rockstar" cook immediately got irate that she had to get off her phone and cook. As the gentleman called out what to pull, she was throwing our food on the grill like slop! Had it not been for my child and fiance being so hungry, so late....we would've walked out. Food was terrible, thrown in the plates, and all messed up. We watched and heard the gentleman show her he labeled the plates as they she be prepared.... it was like she intentionally mixed our food up.... 44.00 for slop! I'll never eat there again. I walked out due to being so angry at her customer service, etc.... my child and fiance didn't want their food to be spit in or anything so they stayed inside to watch, and come outside to leave telling me how nasty it was in there! I didn't even bother with this place. I drove around all night trying to find a Waffle House that was actually open after midnight, as for some reason I'm guessing the company has some new policy that Friday nights and Saturday nights are takeout only, which I hate.

Not only was this one take out only, but you couldn't even go inside, and there were a bunch of people waiting in front of me, with one of them complaining that they had been there for 30 minutes already.

I just went to the Cook Out next door instead

And before you ask why I didn't just call ahead of time, I tried to, but every Waffle House I've been calling late at night has a pre-recorded message that they no longer accept to go orders over the phone, and you can never actually speak with a real person to find out if they're open.

Stuff like that should be illegal! People have more than one reason for wanting to...
