Pete's Pizza & Authentic Mexican Food — Restaurant in Lawnton

We ordered pizza, wings, and a two liter and saw online a special they were having. We called in the order and was told our order would be ready for pickup in 20 minutes. When we got there and went to pay, the man asked "May I ask where you saw our special for the pizza, wings, and soda?". I told him we saw it online. We asked if there was a problem. He told us that that deal expired a while ago and was a deal for when they first opened, but he was more than happy to honor the price and said it was no problem. Even when we ordered on the phone he could have said, "We no longer have that deal" but he didn't and was happy to honor it since it was still showing online. He served us with a smile and made sure we had all we needed (sauces, plates, napkins). He was super friendly and treated us very well. Very good experience and will be going back! Wow. What a great find. I'm town from Philly and Detroit for the cancelled green day show 😕. Wanted some good pizza and food to make up for the yucky day. And dang did we hit the jackpot! Pizza - made to my extremely picky godson's desire (cheese light sauce) and he said it was awesome! Pete's Burrito - a "not very hungry" friend of my godson's at 3/4 of the huge burrito and said it was excellent! Cheese quesadilla - served with a yummy salad! Good and melty cheese, just the right amount. Guacamole - delish, chips amazing. Cups and salsa - also yummy, chips again amazing. We got two large bags with the guac and salsa, so we'll be excited to eat the rest of all...

Took a while to stop in here and regretting not trying it early. We only got Mexican food because frankly, some of the local options are fine but don't wow in either food or the level of service. You order at the counter and they will bring the food to your table. I got the Chori Pollo and it was nice and flavorful. Even the rice had a nice flavor. My partner had a taco platter and enjoyed it. The taco platter comes with a green and red hot sauce and they pack a little kick to then. The place is BYOB which might deter people who want margs...
