I've been a customer for 10 years or more but haven't been there for about 6 months.... I spent $30.00 dollars for breakfast for two with no drinks or side dishes! Eggs improperly cooked, loads of ham on Eggs Benedict, but about a tablespoon of hollandaise sauce atop my overdone poached eggs. This made the dish dry, which it is not supposed to be. Poached is supposed to have some runny yolk, not completely cooked throughout. I reached out to them, ZERO RESPONSE. They send you a questionnaire asking you to tell them how they did, then don't even acknowledge your complaint. Then when I tried to go through corporate on the web to see why noone had contacted me, the only access I could get was to FAQ (frequently asked questions). I am fed up with this overpriced restaurant, their egotistical attitude, and their HORRIBLE customer service as you cannot even get them info. through their corporate website! And when you take a phone order and you tell a customer on the phone how much their takeout order will be, then, you're mistake or not, that's what they should be charged. Called in order, woman says 30.06, arrive to get order, guy tells me it's 30.74 or thereabouts, but not 30.06. I tell him the gal said 30.06 because I brought exact change, he says, it's fine, I can just take it out of a larger bill.. ???^&(((%^ I think this place has gotten far too big for it's britches and I'm done with them. When you experience a problem at a restaurant, notify that restaurant through their own method of replying to them, they don't reply, you reach out to corporate only to find they've railroaded you down a dead end path and you're stuck with only option to go back to that restaurant in person, somebody's asleep at the wheel here folks. It's certainly not the dollar they changed my price of my order to, it's certainly not two overcooked eggs, and it's certainly not just the high prices everything has come to these days, but add em' all together, coupled with an attitude toward customers that's far from cordial, and you can't even get in touch with them to complain about it after you complain about it and they don't reply to their own method of customer feedback,??? Wow is all I can say, First Watch has gone DOWNHILL. They won't be seein this customer anytime soon, nor any of my family I'll relay this experience to, not any of my firends I talk to about dining, nor anyone else who may ask me if it's a good place to eat, and hopefully not you either because I highly doubt this is an isolated incident based on how they ran me through the checkout like a...
Read moreI hate to say it because I hear so many rave about how good a place First Watch is for a great breakfast and I've wanted to come in here for a long time but honestly everything about my first visit was mediocre at best. Their system of taking phone numbers and texting about when your table is almost ready led myself and others around me to question how long of a wait there really was for a table. They told everyone coming in about 20 to 30 minutes and then no one ever knew if they were getting close to the front of the line. I eventually got a table after they rotated everyone in the waiting area at least 3 times over and it was closer to 35 or 40 minutes before getting a table.
Once seated the waiting staff all seemed nervous and we were told they are training new kitchen staff and it might take more than the usual 20 minutes They strive for to get our food and the waiter was correct it was another 35 to 40 minutes to get our food served. The food was mediocre as well. The portions were small and I ordered biscuits and gravy and the gravy had the taste and texture of something I'd get in a store brand frozen breakfast box. All the staff seemed nice. The decor was nice but it took over an hour and a half to get something I could have nuked at home for a...
